These are my answers to the questions I am constantly asked, but they are also lessons I have learned as I have grown alongside my clients through the work we have done together. Next month marks 10 years of M Media. Had these women not taken a chance on me, M Media would not exist. By allowing me to support their dreams, they have made mine come true. What a beautiful gift it is to be surrounded by powerful women who have changed not only my business, but my life. To be an M Media client means you are a woman we not only believe in, but one I personally admire. Team M Media works on branding, marketing, strategy, production, and growth. But to work with me means I trust far more than your talent or business judgment. I trust your character and the way you move through the world. I believe in you so deeply that I want others to have the privilege of seeing what I see in you. That cannot be faked, written into a contract, or bought with a retainer. It has to be sincere. For me, it always is. That is how your talent manager should feel about you! There should be an authentic connection, genuine care, deep respect, complete honesty, and real conviction about where you are going. My roster is intentionally very selective because my clients should never have to compete for my belief or loyalty. I am so in awe of the women in my world that I can’t help but rave about them to anyone who will listen. That admiration is not part of the job. My clients really are that good. I couldn’t ask for better, because I already have the very best. Their influence on me is just as profound. They have changed how I think, how I work, my own goals, and how I see the world. Their courage, talent, resilience, extraordinary bravery, and ambition continually raise my own standards. My life is richer because they are in it. M Media may help build their brands, but knowing them has shaped me, too. They are the reason I love what I do, and I am endlessly grateful that I get to do it with them! XO -MA . . . My grandma was a touchstone in our family. She was admired by all for her elegance, her wit, her beauty, her many talents, and the countless lives she touched. All of my childhood memories came from her. My feet never touched the ground, my face was always covered in her lipstick, and custom dresses from Milan would be flown in, where my Grandma dressed me as her Italian doll. It was impossible to keep us apart. As a little girl, I asked her who her grandma was, and she shared that she didn’t have one. Then I asked who her mom was, and she explained that she and her sister were raised by nuns in an orphanage in Argentina. I couldn’t understand how the person who gave me so much love had never experienced it herself. From that day on, I spent my life giving her the maternal love she never received. She was my closest friend, and she was the smartest woman I have known. Every decision I have made with M Media, I asked for her advice first. She was unbelievably brilliant and multitalented. In a generation where most men kept their wives at home, my grandpa relied on her as an equal business partner. It was her brain and his creativity that built their success and paved the way for our family. It has been a blessing to cherish every moment with her and care for her, just as she had always done for me. As heartbroken as I am, I am also thankful to pass the baton back to its rightful owner. My grandma never met her own mom, and every effort and act of love I have given was done with the intention of honoring the woman who spent the last 85 years witnessing her baby’s life from the other side. All of the love I have in me was doubled from heaven, using my heart as a vessel, into my grandma. And yesterday morning, the woman who waited 85 years to love her own baby finally had that opportunity to welcome her into the afterlife. The love I have will live in me forever, and one day, when I am a grandma myself, I hope she works through my granddaughter to transfer her love back to me again.
