This was our interview with the printed edition of DJ Mag UK around 2017ish by M. Tullberg when we were still the biggest warehouse rave in Los Angeles.

INCOGNITO has always stood for pushing the musical envelope of dance music forward since 2006. Since the pandemic, new promoters have come in and others meanwhile have focused on what is social media famous and hyped up, while we still trudged our lonely egotistic path of booking DJs who we like musically, and nothing else.

One day, we will be pushed out, and whether it be people we have helped along the way, or others who have no idea who we are and what we’ve helped do for the LA underground. Until that time comes, we will trudge along, but more like the little train that could.

Come celebrate join us for our 20th Bday this Labor Day weekend:

Sep 4 - Twenty Year Hard Groove Techno Anniversary with BAUGRUPPE90, COFFINTEXTS, TRAX UNIT & Newty

Sep 5 - Twenty Year DnB Anniversary with RONI SIZE & DIESELBOY & WHYS

Murphy’s Law states that “if anything that can go wrong, will go wrong”. That’s me of recent and me being hit at a supermarket parking lot while I’m parked is just a continuation of that string of bad luck. Hope my luck turns soon.

In the meantime, help me feel better by coming to my next shows at least. 😇

On Friday June 26, Dirty Epic and INCOGNITO presents Techno legend STACEY PULLEN, plus BAE BAE and Nish.

STACEY PULLEN is the Kosmik Messenger and an innovator from the Second Wave of Detroit techno. He is the label boss at Blackflag Records, a label of abstract aesthetics– an outlet of free speech, thought and sound. Stacey’s goal is to hold no boundaries in his approach to music and its artform.

BAE BAE is a Los Angeles based DJ, producer and multidisciplinary artist. Her music selections center black femme independent artists. BAE BAE plays eclectically, deftly mixing r&b, club, house, jungle, garage, UK funky, dancehall & more. Her mixes create a sensual, emotional, and spiritual experience.. She is a resident of Hood Rave and the founder of NEGRESS.

NISH. is a DJ known for soulful, groove-driven sets rooted in intention and musical depth. Her style blends house, neo-soul, and global sounds, shaped by years of crate digging and a refined ear for curation. Raised between Los Angeles and Boracay Island in the Philippines, her sound is shaped by a deep connection to global music culture and island influences.
