The opportunity to reinterpret the film’s unforgettable imagery, characters, and symbolism was an incredible privilege, as we shaped a design language that honors the original work

"A Simple Machine" directed by Mark Hoffman is making the festival circuit rounds now.

It is a beautiful film based on Evan P. Schneider's novel, "A Simple Machine, Like the Lever". It tells the story of a young man who adopts radical thrift to try to get out of debt.

To quote Henry David Thoreau “The cost of a thing is the amount of what I will call life which is required to be exchanged for it.”
