I just directed my first feature film.

Getting to this point has been my number one goal since I got the first inkling of an idea for this film 3 years ago and somehow we’re here, with production wrapped, and hard drives of footage ready for me to edit.

Making this has been one of the hardest challenges I’ve ever put myself through. It pushed me far outside my comfort zone, requiring me to commit fully to something I believe in.

After each shooting block I found myself overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone that believed in this film and wanted to help it come to fruition. The fact that so many people showed up to help out and be a part of this no-budget indie film just to see it get made is unbelievable and a testament to the community around me, I can’t wait for the opportunity to return the favor.
This film is equally yours as much as it is mine, all of your fingerprints are on it.

Feeling so fortunate to have had this experience and have worked with so many wonderful people.

I’m excited to share more from this project, but first I must hole up in my office for the next few months editing this thing. See you all in a bit

A little cut down/re-edit with footage from a music video I did for @__ethan__oneal__ back in 2020.

The original video was primarily realized through the edit and was a tough nut to crack. I still really like how it turned out so, I wanted to breathe some new life into it.

About 3 years ago I made a music video for “Bloody Knuckles” by @ephmcf
We wanted to have these sequences of broken/corrupt memories so I created these shots with footage from my old camcorder.
Have been wanting to put them in their own short video like this for a bit so, here it

2024 was my second full year of working in film.

It was a very creatively fulfilling year, directed a bit, wrote a lot, released 2 short films, had a few screenings, and did a lot more 1st A/Cing.

MVPs were @blkelkco for not only hiring me for jobs but also helping us create our proof of concept film “LEONARD HECK” by providing us with the crew, gear and resources we needed to make it. Would not have been possible without them.
Also my co-buds at @odaifilm, for being my go-to creative collaborators. Love you two, excited for what we’ve been working on 🫶

Excited for 2025 as we begin pre-production on our first feature film (follow @whoisleonardheck for updates) and whatever else it’ll hold! ✌️
