I be wanting to call you everyday to tell you how crazy life been since you been gone. I miss you like a mf pops. I remember when I first started MMM you was so proud of me cause I stopped selling weed and started making fire clothes. You didn’t miss a drop my clothes were your favorite clothes to wear. Shit feel like I lost a part of me. You taught me the importance of working hard to get whatever you wanted in life. The importance of always dressing nice no matter the occasion. Growing up I knew I wanted to ride Benz like you & get big money like you. Ima make our last name great and keep my promise to make MMM bigger than I could’ve ever imagined. Thank you, God — and thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth at #ComplexCon. From our Houston family to the many new faces from across the world, we appreciate every single one of you. This was our first year, and being the first Houston brand at ComplexCon is a huge accomplishment — one that could’ve never happened without the city that raised us. Our booth was inspired by the iconic “BE SOMEONE” graffiti, a message that’s always motivated us to keep pushing, no matter the obstacles life throws our way. We showcased our original MMM logo in concrete poem form, built from lyrics of songs my late father and I loved — classics that shaped me as a 7-year-old Nigerian kid discovering Hip-Hop in my new home on the Southwest side of Houston, Alief. Dreams really do come true. I started this brand out of my trunk, and now we’ve made it to the big stage. Thank you all again — and rest easy, Dad.
