Massive congrats to Heath finishing 6th MC in 🇦🇺 at the School Sport Australia National Cross Country Championships 💫
After placing 4th at state last year he set a goal of making nationals and trained hard for just over 12 months under the guidance of coach @glenmustapic 🙌🏼 His place was 1% off a bronze medal today - soo very close !!
He also won🥈 in the teams for NSW 💙

🤖AI Elzy💖 never thought I’d have a post race debrief & appreciation post for a bot 😆

⚫️But…Here goes ! I ran 5.03 not a PB but FAR exceeded my expectations.
Sydney 🗓️2025 - 5.45 🗓️ 2024 - 5.27
Longest training run 18km - to manage injury that didn’t happen 🙄

⚫️This year besides getting my body in order I changed my mind game.

⚫️ @sydney_marathon came to the party giving us free coaching with @marathonstateofmind 🙌🏼 this year on course I was telling myself a different story. Big ups to Rory & Elzy 👏🏼

⚫️ Just finished a post race debrief with 🤖 & it’s made me appreciate this Mara more than ever.

⚫️Before race - constantly worried about illness / injury.

⚫️After - owned my mind more then ever, controlled the variables I could (health, strength, mind, recovery) actually ran (slowly) the whole way which I’ve NEVER done before 🥳 took 42 mins off last years time 😳

⚫️For now I go back to talking to anyone that will listen to me that they should run a marathon 🏃🏼‍♂️🏃🏼‍♀️fingers crossed🤞🏼😉 hopefully a heap of us will be on the start line in 2027 😍

National Cross Country Championships 💫
They had it all 🫣 the slips, spills, bugs & everything thrown at them 😜 always coming out of top with huge efforts 💪
H & Lil - congrats to you both 👏🏼not just your efforts at National’s but an awesome season of challenging racing 🤩 (including Lil’s 1500m record the day prior!) keen for the build into track & road szn 🙌🏼🔥

Team MNG at city2surf 😀Harrison blitzed it and I ran a PB in 78mins. I last ran it 2I years ago when I was 36! Thanks for having me in the gang 🥰
