I was fortunate to spend a lot of time with Gene at William Paterson. I think I had an ensemble with him at least one semester almost every year. I remember once he joined us for a gig at the student center and entrusted me with dropping him off and parking his Beamer. That car ruled. We got to hit after I graduated at Panza’s restaurant, which is where these photos came from. Steven was leading the date. Gene played beautifully and I think I have this date recorded. Another example of someone who I was so lucky to be around in my younger years. RIP Gene!!! by @mnied_drums

Took a trip down to NJ yesterday to hit the studio with my brothers Joel Cotton and Steve Kirsty. Then took a trip over to visit with one of my greatest mentors and favorite people, the one and only, Bill Goodwin and his girlfriend Laurie. Lots of great music, lots of great conversation and a lot of laughs all in one day. My heart is very full and am grateful for all the amazing people music has brought into my life! by @mnied_drums

Some Sunday drums. Just got an old ride back I put a lot of time in on about 10 years ago. Took all the rivets I had installed out and interesting to hear how that changes things. Been messing with different cymbal heights and been working on matched grip again. Shoulder muscles seem to appreciate matched lol by @mnied_drums

2013, I was 18 and considered shifting focus from drums to avant garde alto saxophone. Luckily for you if you come to the park theater on Thursday night you’ll hear Adam Siegel on alto and not me. 730pm hit doors at 7pm. Galen Pittman Quartet w/ Galen on piano and Jason Emmond on bass. See ya there! by @mnied_drums

Well folks, I recently had the opportunity to purchase a literal dream kit of mine (more on that later) however because of this I have to part with this fantastic Gretsch ‘71 Stop Sign bop kit. I wanted to see if any friends were interested before I go down other avenues to sell it. It is an extremely badass kit. Has a Slingerland set o matic tom mount. Shoot me a message if you’re interested. Thanks! by @mnied_drums
