yesterday i went to my first ever author event, and it was inspiring.

being surrounded by readers, soaking up the positive energy annie and vasilisa brought to serendipity, that alone made the night. huge thank you to donna and shannon for their kindness and hospitality, you made me feel so comfortable from the second i walked in. and thank you to tyler for capturing the night in photos, so glad i finally got to meet you.

my anxiety wanted to eat me alive going in, but i’m so thankful i pushed through and went. every moment of it was a step forward in my recovery. taken in Serendipity Bookshop by @mnievesmarrero
