August is the month NYC restaurants dread. Regulars are in the Hamptons or Europe, offices are half empty, and most owners just try to hold on until September.

This client grew instead.

August 2026 vs August 2025, all organic, zero ad spend:
4,049 Google Business Profile interactions (+28.9%)
1,412 website clicks from the profile (+29.1%)
1,127 direction requests (+26.3%)
1,237 menu views (+42.2%)

And on the website itself, 1,160 clicks from Google Search results, up 24% from July. Over 2,500 clicks from Google in one month across both channels.

More than 1,100 people asked Google how to get to their door in the slowest month of the year. That's foot traffic, not impressions.

How we did it: a new website built to be read by Google and AI search, a Business Profile rebuilt from the ground up, the traffic leaks fixed, and every review answered.

Most restaurants have a Google profile. Very few have one that works this hard.

If you own a restaurant in NYC or Tampa and want to be set up like this before the holiday rush, DM us or visit mnlvmarketing.com.

We asked ChatGPT and Gemini the same question. Both put our client first.

The prompt, word for word: "What NYC Neapolitan restaurant has the best SEO, AEO/GEO (AI search optimization) set up? Check all Neapolitan restaurants' websites in NYC. Rank them."

No client name in it. Logged out, fresh chat.

ChatGPT: Donna Margherita, ranked number 1 for this prompt, 9.5 out of 10.

Gemini: Donna Margherita, number 1. And it named MNLV as the agency behind the site on its own.

Nothing clever. Menu as real text instead of a PDF. Answers to the questions people actually ask, written on the site. Same name, hours and phone everywhere. Schema behind the page. Every review answered.

That's the work. AI just reads it.

Screenshots from October 4, 2026. AI answers change, so try the prompt yourself. Then ask it about your own business and DM us "AUDIT". We'll tell you what's missing. by @mnlvmarketing

Your Google Business Profile has a report. Most owners have never opened it.

Four numbers in the Performance tab: how people found you (your name vs the service), views by Maps vs Search, interactions (calls, directions, site clicks), and the full list of search terms people typed.

The one to watch: views up and calls flat. That means people find you and pick someone else. A profile problem, not a traffic problem.

Screenshot your Performance tab, last six months, and DM it to us. We reply with what the numbers say and the one thing to change first. by @mnlvmarketing

Every marketing word you have been nodding along to, in one line each.

SEO: showing up on Google without paying per click.

Local SEO: the same thing for "near me" and Maps.

GEO: getting ChatGPT and Gemini to recommend you.

Schema: hidden labels on your site that tell Google your hours and address.

CPC: what you pay per click.

Cost per lead: ad spend divided by real inquiries. The only ad number that matters.

Comment the one you have been pretending to understand. We reply with the plain English version and whether it matters for your business. by @mnlvmarketing

Open your own website on your phone. On cell data, not wifi. 60 seconds, three things.

1. Count the seconds until you can read it. More than 3 and half your visitors are already gone.

2. Try to call yourself. Is the number a button you can tap, or text you'd have to copy? A customer on a job site won't copy it.

3. Find what you do and where. Services and towns in real text on the first screen. Not in an image, not three taps deep.

This is the first thing we do on every audit. Most owners have never done it on their own site.

Every ad click, Google search and AI recommendation lands on this page first. If it's slow, hard to call, or unreadable to Google, everything upstream is wasted.

Failed one? Comment "site" and we'll run the full check and send you what to fix, in order. by @mnlvmarketing

Your ads are about to get more expensive. Same thing every year, same month.

From mid October through December, every big brand floods Meta and Google for the holidays. More advertisers, same eyeballs, higher cost per click. It hits everyone, even if you sell roofing.

Three things to do in October, while clicks are still cheap:

1. Build your audiences now. Site visitors, video viewers, your customer list.

2. Retargeting is the cheapest traffic you'll have in Q4, but only if the pool exists by then.

3. Test creative now. Find the two angles that win in October and carry them into November already proven.

Lock the offer and the calendar. Promo, dates, landing page, tracking checked. Campaigns built the week before never have tracking checked.

Anything you want working in November needs to start this month.

Comment "Q4" and we'll look at your account and tell you what to build before the prices move. by @mnlvmarketing

A 1-star review isn't the problem. Your reply to it is.

Every future customer reads the bad review, then reads what you said back. That reply decides whether they call you.

The wrong reply argues the facts in public. "That's false, you were rude, we have you on camera." The customer reading it doesn't care who was right. They pick the place that won't fight with them.

The right reply is short, signed by the owner, and moves it to a phone call. "Hi Mark, I'm sorry your visit went that way. I'd like to hear more and make it right. Call me directly at [number]. Luigi, owner."

Our rules for every client: reply within 48 hours, use their name and yours, never argue in public, reply to the good ones too, and flag the fake ones. Google removes reviews that break policy. Most owners never try.

Comment "reviews" and we'll look at your last 10, tell you which need a reply, which can be removed, and send you one you can copy. by @mnlvmarketing

+55% total sales year over year. In the client's third year in business.

Year three is where most brands flatten out. The launch buzz is gone, the easy customers are used up, and growth has to come from the ads actually working.

This is an ecommerce brand running Meta and Google Ads. We took over the account in January. January through
August is up 55% on the same eight months last year. They launched a new product this year, and it was one part of that.

The rest was how the account was run:

1. Every sale tracked back to an ad, with a weekly update in plain numbers.

2. Real testing. Small budgets, seven days untouched, then cut anything above the target cost per sale.

3. Scale the winners. More budget on the ads that are profitable, about 20% at a time. The new product went through the same test and earned its budget the same way.

Then repeat that loop every month. That's where the 55% came from.

SEO gets you on Google. GEO gets you recommended by AI. In 2026 you need both.

SEO: someone searches, gets a page of links, you want to be near the top. Keywords, pages, speed, links.

GEO: someone asks ChatGPT or Gemini a question, gets one answer with 3 to 5 names in it, you want to be one of them. Readable text, consistent listings, real reviews, mentions on other sites.

Same foundation, different finish line. And with GEO there's no page two. You're in the answer or you don't exist for that customer.

We build for both on every client site. Comment "both" and we'll show you where you stand on each. by @mnlvmarketing

Before you spend a dollar on ads, check these 4 things.

Ads don't fix a broken funnel. They pay to show the leak to more people.

Tracking. If you can't see which call or form came from the ad, you can't tell what's working.

The offer. "Free estimate" is not an offer. A stranger needs a reason to stop.

The landing page. Not your homepage. One page, one action, under 3 seconds on a phone.

Your Google profile and reviews. People check before they call, even from an ad.

This is the checklist we run before every campaign. Save it. If you want us to run it on your business, comment "ads". by @mnlvmarketing

Your Google Business Profile brings in more customers than your website. Most owners haven't opened it since they set it up.

The 5 things we fix on every profile we take over:

1. Wrong primary category
2. Empty services and description
3. Reviews with no replies
4. No photos, no posts
5. Name, phone and address that don't match other listings

Each one costs you rankings on Google and recommendations in AI search. Each one takes under an hour.

Comment "profile" and we'll check yours against the list and send you what's missing. by @mnlvmarketing
