When you should have stopped climbing 30 minutes ago, but you still wanna try and get that quick one in. (Longer caption bellow)

He made it look so hard, because his brain was already shut off from exhaustion, so he kept grabbing the right hold with his right hand and left hold with his left hand, which then of course makes it so hard to match the left hold and reach the next left hold, and I had a bunch of fun watching him, once I realized that if I start by holding the left hold with my right hand it would put me in a better position to grab the next hold on the left. 💪

He legit recorded himself saying „what a show off” when he saw me flash this route, after his 3-4 fails to even start it. Well, of course I’m a show off, who does like to show off. I’d love to say that it was my route reading skills that made this possible, but it’s was pretty much luck. 😄

Either way, climbing at Elevation made me realize that there’s something humbling about climbing at gyms while you’re traveling. No matter how good of a climber you are, the walls, holds, route setting, even the mats are different, and that in itself is an additional challenge. We still really like @elevationbouldering and it was a lot of fun checking what level we’re at compared to last time we were here. 🤗

Finally got to climb at B-Pump Ogikubo — and wow, it was tough. Not even kidding: V0s here felt like V4s back at our gym. 😵‍💫

And before you say our gym grades soft… trust me, it doesn’t. We’ve flashed V5s and V6s at other gyms. 😄

Japanese bouldering is simply on another level. A beast of its own. 🐉🤩

On the fun scale, though? 10/10 on every single route. The setting was. 🔥

Definitely a humbling but super fun session. The staff was incredibly friendly, and I loved their merch. 🧢✨ Thank you @bpump_ogikubo. 🙏

I can’t wait to put this one together. So far I only got it in pieces. It’s such a fun route, though. Do you guys get the right foot up to match the little crimp before going up with left hand, or do you get your left foot up and go straight for the next left hand? I think the second option works better for me.

“No one nobody can stop me”. 😉 Not even scary tornado falls off the top of the wall?! Okay, gotta admit, this one was really scary. I always forget that when I’m under adrenaline I don’t notice the pain, or the fear right away. 😅

The fall honestly doesn’t even look that scary to me. Yes a lot of stuff could have gone wrong, but it didn’t, it was a safe fall, considering I lost grip of the top after my foot slipped twice. 🫨

But it was definitely scary, because a few minutes later I was chatting with my friend and wanted to drink water, and as I tried to open my water bottle I realized that my hands were shaking. 🙈

Anyone do yoga or meditation after climbing before bed? I still do nothing, so I often wake up multiple times because similar falls haunt me in my dreams too. 🙃

After multiple sessions, and probably over 30+ attempts, I still couldn’t send this one. I get the dyno each time, I even figured out a static beta for that part, but I still struggle getting my feet back on the wall after that. 🙈

The few times I got it, I realized that the next move is even harder. I tried going for the little crimp on the left or even going directly up to the volume, but neither worked. Most likely because I’m wasting so much energy hanging on, while trying to get my feet back on the wall. 🙇‍♀️

This route has reminded me that I gotta work on my core strength. Honestly improving my core has been my goal for like the last 3, 4 years. Wish me luck maybe this year I’ll finally do something about it. 😆 And if you have any core exercise tips, send them over. Thanks in advance. 🫶

We got to check out @thecircuitgym and climb with one of our favorite climbing buddies and his family, and it was so much fun. I really liked the variety of the walls and route setting at this gym. 🙌

We always have fun checking out gyms when we’re traveling, and somehow we also always catch ourselves chasing the grades even more than usually. Hence, our 2026 motto is — don’t chase grades, chase fun. 🥳

Thank you to everyone that has climbed with us this year, and everyone that followed and supported our climbing adventures. You rock! 🫶

How often do you get them wrong? What grade do you think these are at my gym? On my fun grade scale the red is 9/10 (love the flow, the only thing that would make it more fun is if there was a dyno in it), the green is a 8/10 just because I’m bitter and it honestly looked easy but wasn’t. 🤣
