It started as a simple gender reveal party. It did not end that way. Rhys, a dedicated people pleaser, arrives at their boss’ gender reveal with both partners. What follows is more than any of them expected. “Gender Reveal” by Mo Matton, part of Locarno #SHORTS, is now free to stream until April 25.

Spending the last couple of weeks presenting Gender Reveal at Locarno and then TIFF was above and beyond mes rêves les plus fous. My brain is in a total post festival blur, and words are lacking to express all that I am feeling, so reverting to sharing (mostly) terrible quality pictures and:::

Big thank yous to the TIFF and Locarno programmers and festival teams for the warm welcome & for offering such a space for our weird freaky film!!

Merci to my day 1 collaborator and relentless believer in the potential that lives in the absurd and dark pockets of my mind, genius producer @leoniehurtubise.

Another sappy thanks to the cast and crew for honestly being some of the top tier humans I’ve had the chance to encounter ✨

+++ merci à @travellingdistribution d’avoir pris cette bête sous votre aile 👹
