December 2022, a baby was birthed, and we named her FAFO. If you have ever heard of the saying “it takes a community to raise a child”, the author must have been talking about FAFO, because this baby has come so far by the support and goodwill of the good people that makeup my community.

Since then, we have had two successful outreaches, and we are currently preparing for the third one (FAFO 3.0).

As usual, I am here to solicit your support towards it. Out of genuine concerns, a few friends had highlighted the difficulties of having an outreach at this time, especially with food prices being over the roof, but those difficulties are the exact indications that the outreach is needed, so we will put our hands to the plough, and we welcome you to join us in whatever way you can.

If you are thinking you do not have food, money or even time to give, you can also give your words. Send us prayers and words of encouragement; we’ll take them! May all your needs be met🙏

About a year ago, when I conceived Feed a Family Outreach, I imagined reaching out to 30/40 families (at best).

My sisters, @karma_loves_chu and @imossanq encouraged me to get the support of close friends, and I dared to.

As a result of people’s generosity, we surpassed the target of 40, and catered to 201families; totally mind-blowing!

We are preparing for the second edition of the outreach, and this is me extending my request for support to you. Please give, volunteer, or share this post.

In counting my blessings today, I realize they’re innumerable.

Happy new year, IG!
It's the first post this year, so I gotta pay homage😃

Last saturday, @omotolanieee treated us to an awesome time at the 6th edition of "Meet and greet with Omotolanieee, in the city of Abuja, Nigeria.

Putting it mildly, it was ecstatic! I am still basking in the euphoria. Ah!

From the great and many relatable conversations, to networking, to downing yummy meals and drinks, to playing games, to getting gifts, to "karaoking", and lots more. It was fun, fun, fun, and some more fun.

The world is challenging enough as it is, so it is commendable that @omotolanieee came up with this initiative where women get to unwind and ease tension, while still having the most meaningful conversations. You are a winner at any given time, my darling. Keep reaching for the stars!

Shout out to my sisters at @the_magwo who keep breaking grounds and consistently raise the bar. Y'all are amazeballs!

I had to come out of my SM hiatus to do this. I have a great support system and it's incredible how the bulk of this is made up of women. They are certainly worthy of celebration and what better day to do that?

Women, who despite the difference in our backgrounds, ideologies, political affiliations, faith, geographical location, socioeconomic status, cultural beliefs and everything else inbetween constantly affirm that the bond of sisterhood defies every form of variance.

These women are achievers in their respective spheres, and you know what's even more amazing? They're ensuring that the lives of other women are bettered by their association with them. Isn't this awesome?

The cruelty against the women folk is untold, even though we enjoy certain liberties and privileges in this part of the world that women in other parts of the world do not enjoy.
But can you imagine a world where everyone is treated fairly and justly, regardless of their gender or affiliations?

To every woman out there standing tall and smashing goals despite the daunting voices around you; to you, who on most days feels like you aren't getting it right; to you, who feels completely lost sometimes: You are a WOMAN and that is your uniqueness and power. You are a QUEEN with a CROWN and you gotta own it. The world is watching... This would be incomplete if I do not celebrate my sisters on @the_magwo . A community of thoroughly awesome women. You all are a big deal and I'm glad to share the space with you. Cheers to us and the big things happening through us. Thank you @omotolanieee for this awesome space. You're a star!

More often than not, the reaction or treatment we get from people is a reflection of how we act(ed) towards them. There are exceptions, certainly, but for the most part, the assertion is true. It's alright to have expectations and your ideas of ideals, but be true to yourself; do you fit into your idea of ideal? Would you pass the test if you have to be assessed by the standards you set? If the answer is no, instead of hoping and waiting for the perfect person (in whatever context), strive to attain perfection. If your answer is yes, keep being the person you seek.

How often do we forfeit beneficial things because we're being unnecessarily "careful"?. When opportunities present, we analyse, re-analyse, overanalyze, etc and end up doing nothing, for fear of unknown outcomes. Certainly, there are genuine causes of anxiety, but oftentimes, our fears are unfounded and non-existent; they are merely empty castles that we have built in our mind.

What is eating you up? Do you remember the things that so worried you 5years ago? Are they still of importance now? What do you think of the things that worry you now, few years from today? Can you beat your chest and say they'll be of any relevance a little while from now? I don't think so. Why then do we worry to the point of despair?
Face your fears; acknowledge your 'mountains'; don't shy away from them in denial. Embrace the challenges; shield yourself from the darts, but don't exit the battlefield. Most Importantly, affirm that you will outlive them; because you will, if you truly believe.

Hey Mama, I low-key have been waiting on today like it's my birthday; I mean, it kinda is, by proxy. I haven't known you closely for too long, but every day of these past months has been worth it. You, my Darling, have risen to and above every challenge. You have surmounted great heights and made them appear like a walk in the park. I have watched you flourish and blossom through cracks and huddles, against all odds. We're not having any long talks today, I really just want to celebrate the woman that you are. I celebrate your strength, your courage, your wit, your resilience, your selflessness, your doggedness, your passion, your determination, your liberality, your largeheartedness.
