Recently I've been trying to create projects faster as a way to practice letting go. It can become easy to believe that whatever piece I'm currently making is the most precious art I'll ever make since it's the most recent work of my hands. This belief leans more towards a perfectionist viewpoint. My theory is that the key to the virtue between perfectionism and maladroitness is to honor the work in front of me by putting blood sweat and tears into it for a set time, but letting go when the set time is up. This cover of Abandon Me is not as perfect as I'd like it to be, but I can say that it pushed me and shaped me a little more as a creative. I'd never done a live vocal & piano recording until I tried this, but I can say I have and I bet I could do it a little bit faster next time. Also the new Kevin Abstract album is tight! by @moah.natthew_

Initially, I had posted this song on my Soundcloud as a challenge to branch out to more than just a cover. I told myself I wanted to get done within the period of Christmas break (about 15 days or so). I was fortunate enough to have the help of my good friend Benjamin to assist with writing. At the song's first creation, it felt like a hot mess by the time the clock had run out. However, looking back the project has started to grow on me more. More music is coming but this is something I'm excited to share with more than just the Soundcloud platform...... Rest when it's time to rest and work hard when it's time to work hard. by @moah.natthew_
