My drawing Rogue wearing her civilian outfit based on Paul Smith's artwork as seen in Uncanny X-Men vol.1 172. This outfit came in three different shades of green, with the boots, gloves and undershirt being dark green, the puffy sleeved mini-skirt coat being medium green, and the tights being light green. She also had a white belt across her waist and neck collar, which contrasts with the white streaks in her hair. Rogue started out as a villainess, serving as a member of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, which was led by her foster mother Mystique and also included her other foster mother Destiny. After overhearing both her mothers discuss her encounter with the Avenger Ms. Marvel, Rogue decided to confront Carol Danvers and stole all of her powers, while the backlash also caused her to gain Carol's personality and emotional access to her memories, therefore developing the Ms. Marvel persona which would manifest inside her mind. Feeling guilty and traumatised, Rogue had fled Mystique's Brotherhood and arrived at the X-Mansion, seeking help from Professor X, who couldn't get rid of the Ms. Marvel persona but was able to help Rogue gain control, while inviting her to join the team. Naturally, most of the X-Men weren't happy with Rogue being part of the team, especially when they had previously clashed with her. They threatened to quit the team, but Xavier had urged them to remain and give Rogue another chance, so they put aside their feelings towards her. Carol (who was at the time staying as a guest at the X-Mansion, and had recently become the cosmic heroine Binary) was furious with Rogue's presence within the X-Men and had left Earth to join the Starjammers, as she couldn't forgive the Southern Belle for ruining her life. When the X-Men travelled over to Japan for the wedding of their teammate Wolverine, he was hostile towards the newest recruit due to Carol being a friend of his. But it took the warm heart of his fiance Mariko Yashida to change his views towards Rogue, especially when she defended Mariko against Viper who tried to shoot her. This allowed Logan to fully forgive Rogue, while he allowed her to borrow his healing factor to heal herself. by @mocannon1995

My drawing of Rachel Summers in her classic Hound costume, which also served as her first outfit in the comics. First worn by Rachel in Uncanny X-Men vol.1 189, Rachel was forced to wear this spike-studded outfit when she was captured by the villainous mutant cyborg scientist Ahab, who had transformed her into a Hound.Rachel's Hound costume was originally a black bodysuit with studded spikes around on the sides of her arms, around her waist, wrists and neck, and down the centre of her toso. It was later recoloured red, which became her iconic colour and matched her hair. Rachel had originally debuted in X-Men vol.1 141 as part of the classic story arc 'Days of Future Past', which was set on Earth-811. In this timeline, Rachel was the daughter of Cyclops and Jean Grey. Like many mutants on the planet, Rachel was an inmate at a mutant concentration camp, which was run by the mutant hunting robots the Sentinels, who ruled North America. Upon being captured by Ahab, Rachel in her Hound condition is forced to hunt down her fellow mutants. She also gained facial markings as part of her Hound conditioning, which she would hide with her psychic powers (which she inherited from her mother Jean).During the 'Days of Future Past' event, Rachel had sent her teammate and friend Kitty Pryde's mind into her younger self to prevent the assassination of Senator Robert Kelly at the hands of Mystique's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. When the futuristic Sentinel model known as Nimrod was sent to the past, Rachel had pursued it, which resulted in her arriving in the present and joining the X-Men.After her first stint with the X-Men, Rachel would wear her Hound suit again upon forming the British-based sister team Excalibur with her former teammates Kitty and Nightcrawler. At this point, Rachel had conquered her troubled past, hence why she wore this costume again.Rachel's classic Hound suit looks simple, but the studded spikes add a nice touch to the overall look, which fits Rachel's original role in a dystopian future as a slave forced to hunt her fellow mutants.#rachelsummers #xmenrachelsummers #rachelsummersxmen #xmenfanart #xmendrawings by @mocannon1995

My drawings of Rachel Summers in her red and gold Phoenix costumes. Like her mother Jean Grey, Rachel has served as Phoenix, either by becoming a host for the Phoenix Force.Slide 1 has Rachel in her first red and gold Phoenix costume, which she first wore in X-Men Annual vol.1 9. It consisted of a gold top with a Phoenix emblem above the chest whilst exposing her neckline, a pair of red long pants and gloves that covered her lower arms, and a pair of gold boots. When Rachel first wore the costume, she took on the code name of Phoenix in order to honour her mother Jean, who was believed to have been deceased at the time. During her early days with the X-Men, Rachel had kept the truth about her relationship with Cyclops and Jean hidden from her father, with only her teammates aware of the truth. When Rachel used her Phoenix powers, the boots would be red like the rest of her costume, which left only the gold Phoenix-shaped torso visible. Slide 2 has Rachel in her second red and gold Phoenix costume, which she first wore in Excalibur vol.1 64. It was identical to her mother's classic Phoenix costume, where it featured the gold long sleeved arm gloves, thigh-high boots, sash-like-belt with a Phoenix symbol clip and chest symbol. Rachel began wearing the costume after the Phoenix Force had healed her from her injuries following her battle with Necrom. Initially, Rachel wore the classic green and gold Phoenix costume, but once she was fully healed, she had changed the colour to red, which resemble the Dark Phoenix costume, as Rachel wasn't keen on the green colour. Both of Rachel's Phoenix costumes look cool, with the colours suiting her. Her first Phoenix costume had a great unique design which stood out from the traditional Phoenix outfit. For her second Phoenix costume, the Dark Phoenix colour scheme looks better on Rachel as opposed to the green Phoenix costume (with green being more of Jean's colour).#rachelsummers #xmenrachelsummers #rachelsummersxmen #xmenphoenix #phoenixxmen #phoenixexcalibur #excaliburphoenix #xmenfanart #xmendrawings by @mocannon1995

My drawing of Cable in his classic New Mutants costume. Designed by his co-creator Rob Liefeld, Cable first wore this outfit during his debut in New Mutants vol.1 87, preceded by a cameo in the last page of the previous issue which teased his next appearance.Cable's classic costume was primarily blue, consisting of a pair of long pants, padded boots and a pair of padded straps over his bare torso. He also wore a metal leg strap around his left thigh, a utility belt with brown pouches which connected to a pair of gun holsters on the sides of his thighs. Depending on the art, Cable either wore a pair of blue hand gloves with a metal wrist band around his right arm, or a blue knuckle duster on his right hand with matching wrist bands, while his right arm often had metal upper arm hands. He also carried with him a pair of firearm weapons on his back. During his debut, the character was originally introduced as Nathan Dayspring, and was a mysterious time traveller with a bionic left arm and eye, who fought against his arch-nemesis Stryfe, leader of the mutant terrorist group the Mutant Liberation Font (MLF). When the New Mutants came into conflict with the MLF, Cable had teamed up with them, and he also helped them fight against Freedom Force, before he eventually became their new mentor in New Mutants vol.1 89. Under his leadership, Cable had his new team relocate to the underground complex of their former home the X-Mansion, which at the time was in ruins. This team line-up had remained, until the events of 'X-Tinction Agenda', with many members leaving the the group, which resulted in Cable reorganising the New Mutants into the aggressive mitaltirstic X-Force.Cable is one of Liefeld's most popular characters created for Marvel, along with Deadpool. During his conception, Liefeld had influenced his Cable design from The Terminator and The Six Million Dollar Man. He became popular due to his militaristic nature, which became a trend in comics at the time.Cable's outfit from his debut fitted his status as an anti-hero mercenary. The colour blue suits Nathan's costume, which contrasts with his bionic left arm.#xmencable #cablexmen #xmenfanart #xmendrawings by @mocannon1995

My drawing of Laura Kinney in her fifth Wolverine suit. Designed by artist Francesco Mortarino, Laura first wore this costume in NYX vol.2 1, as part of the 2024 rebranding event 'From the Ashes'. Having originally made her comic book debut in the original NYX series in 2004, Laura is the only character to have a leading role in both titles of the same name.Similar in design to her second Wolverine suit from the second half of the All-New Wolverine vol.1 series, Laura's fifth Wolverine costume had resembled more of street clothing, which was primarily black and in two-tone grey with yellow accents. It consisted of a dark grey athlete's jacket (with yellow claw like markings) over a black bodysuit with a light grey middle section, along with a pair of thigh-high boots, a pair of gloves coming to her forearms, plus her trademark Wolverine mask, which had more angular earpieces.During the NYX vol.2 series, Laura (who was in fact a duplicate of the original) was continuing the legacy of her late original template following her death towards the end of the 'Krakoan Age', where she had operated as Wolverine in the Northern part of Brooklyn, Bushwick. Whilst living in Bushwick, Laura was seen by the locals as a hero in Brooklyn due to her role in saving mutants from her neighbourhood. As well as being part of the new NYX gang, Laura had also reunited with her old friend from the original series Kiden Nixon, plus her former X-Men teammates and lovers Synch and Hellion (who was operating as the villain known as the Krakoan).Laura's fifth Wolverine costume has a great colour scheme of grey, black and yellow, and the streetwear design fits in with the urban Brooklyn neighbourhood of Bushwick, and I love the yellow accents on the jacket, gloves and boots. However, I have mixed feelings towards the outfit due to grey parts of the costume and I would have personally liked the top of the cowl to be yellow (as seen in a variant of NYX vol.2 10). Despite this, it is a good costume regardless.#laurakinneywolverine #wolverinelaurakinney #nyx #xmennyx #nyxxmen #laurakinneynyx #nyxlaurakinney #nyxfromtheshadows #fromtheshadowsnyx #xmendrawings #xmenfanart by @mocannon1995

My drawing of Laura Kinney in her fourth Wolverine suit. Designed by artist R.B Silva, Laura first wore this costume in X-Men vol.5 5, during the 'Dawn of X' event as part of the 'Krakoan Age'. Upon fully settling into Krakoa, Laura had returned to the identity of Wolverine again, therefore sharing the codename with her father Logan.Laura's fourth Wolverine suit was primarily a black bodysuit with a large stylized yellow X pattern on her shoulders, chest, lower torso and thighs, plus a pair of matching yellow boots and boots with a black trim (which looked similar to the earpieces on her cowl), a black belt with a yellow disc-shaped X buckle, and her trademark Wolverine mask.Laura first wore this Wolverine outfit when she was sent to infiltrate The Vault with Synch and Darwin, where they were trapped for years, before she was seemingly killed and resurrected. After she was revived, Laura had joined the first Krakoan X-Men team during the first Hellfire Gala event and was part of the team during the first twelve issues of the X-Men vol.6 series. After the real Laura was found and rescued from The Vault, the cloned Laura continued to operate as Wolverine, where she had served as a member of the Krakoan-based X-Force team, as well as the X-Terminators vol.2 miniseries.Following the fall of Krakoa, Laura (who had continued to exist after the original had died) had carried on wearing her Krakoan yellow and black costume, most notably in her two solo series Laura Kinney: Wolverine and Generation X-23, along with the team series of New Avengers vol.5 and X-Men: United.Upon seeing this costume for the first time, I quickly liked it due its design, which bore a resemblance to the costumes of Rogue and Shadowcat from the Revolution era. I love the colours and the X pattern, and this costume continues to look great following the 'Krakoan Age'. I was pleased that Laura had kept this costume, especially in her solo series and both New Avengers vol.5 and X-Men: United. It is my second favourite outfit she has worn as Wolverine.#laurakinney #laurakinneywolverine #wolverinelaurakinney #xmenkrakoanage #wolverinenewavengers #generationx23 #xmenunited by @mocannon1995

My drawing of Laura Kinney in her third Wolverine suit. Designed by artist Mahmud A. Asrar, Laura first wore this costume in X-Men Red vol.1 1 when she and Gabby had both joined Jean Grey's Red X-Men team who were based in Atlantis.Laura's third Wolverine suit had retained the black colour from her previous costume, but it was yellow again like her first Wolverine outfit. Over a black sleeveless bodysuit was a yellow armoured torso with shoulder pads, black boots with a yellow trim, a pair of black fingerless long-sleeved arm gloves, and her trademark Wolverine mask. Like her teammates, Laura's costume was made from a special type of leather, custom made from Wakanada, which protected Laura, Gabby and their teammates from being affected by Cassandra Nova's Sentinites. As part of the team look, the costumes (including Laura's) all had the red X symbol on the lower torso. Laura would wear this costume until X-Men Red vol.1 11, which concluded the series. It was the last costume that she would wear as Wolverine, as for a short period, Laura went back to her codename of X-23, until early on during the 'Krakoan Age', where she shared the codename of Wolverine with her father Logan, who had been reborn just before the 'Krakoan Age'.When I first saw Laura in her Wolverine costume as part of Jean' Red X-Men team, I was glad that she was included within the team, especially when she got to work with Jean (whom she had never met before) and I was also pleased to see her in the colours of yellow and black. Overall, I like Laura's third Wolverine outfit due to the yellow and black colours and the X symbol on her lower torso. Although there are flaws with the costume itself, such as the fingerless gloves and the opening around the neck area, it is a good costume nonetheless.#laurakinney #laurakinneywolverine #wolverinelaurakinney #xmenred #xmenredwolverine #xmenfanart #xmendrawings by @mocannon1995

My drawing of Laura Kinney in her first Wolverine suit. Designed by artist Leonard Kirk, Laura first wore this costume in All-New Wolverine vol.1 19 during the 2017 ResurrXion relaunch event, following the conclusion of the 2016 - 2017 crossover event 'Inhumans vs. X-Men'.Laura's second Wolverine suit was provided for her by her sister / sidekick Gabby, which contained light flexible bullet-proof body armour so that she would gain additional protection from physical harm and injury which would slow down her healing factor. Rather than being a one-piece bodysuit, it was a three-piece costume, which was coloured grey and black like her and Logan's X-Force costumes. The costume had consisted of a sleeveless armoured bodysuit which was grey in the middle and black on the sides. The boots, belt and cowl retained the same design from the previous costume, but she wore a pair of short black hand gloves instead of the long-sleeved ones. She also wore a leather armoured jacket over her bodysuit, and her cowl was more of a hard-helmet. Like her and Logan's X-Force outfits, Laura's cowl had red eye lenses built in, which allowed her to see her enemies and natural surroundings in the dark.Laura had worn her second Wolverine suit during the second half of the All-New Wolverine vol.1 series, until she and Gabby had both joined Jean Grey's Red X-Men team, which resulted in yet another costume change. During the 2018 Hunt for Wolverine: The Adamantium Agenda miniseries, Laura had learnt that she was not really a clone of Logan, but rather she was his daughter.Laura's second Wolverine costume looked cool due to the colours and the homage to her and Logan's X-Force costumes, including the red eyes, all of which would suit Laura's stealth missions. The concept that it was a flexible light-armoured bodysuit fits Laura, and the jacket gives her a biker girl vibe. It is my third favourite costume that Laura has worn as Wolverine.#laurakinney #laurakinneywolverine #wolverinelaurakinney #xmenfanart #xmendrawings #allnewwolverine #xmenlaurakinney #laurakinneyxmen by @mocannon1995

My drawing of Laura Kinney in her first Wolverine suit. Designed by artist David Lopez, Laura first wore this costume in All-New Wolverine vol.1 1. Following the death of her father James 'Logan' Howlett, aka Wolverine in the 2014 miniseries Death of Wolverine, Laura had initially honoured his memory by dying her hair with a gold and blue streak each to pay homage to the colours of his Wolverine suit, but she decided to do more by wearing both his costume and carrying his code name.Laura's first Wolverine suit was originally one of Logan's spare yellow and blue costumes which he wore as a member of the Astonishing X-Men team, but was altered to fit her smaller feminine figure. It consisted of a bodysuit which was yellow in the middle and blue on the sides, with yellow tiger striped claw markings. The differences were the addition of long yellow sleeves, a pair of blue long-sleeved gloves, the middle yellow section stopping down at the inner legs and the legs being blue, the earpieces on cowl were blue and had a hole on the back to let her long hair flow though, and the v-flare on the boots were gold. She also wore a grey belt with the X symbol on the red buckle. As well as her first solo series as Wolverine, Laura also wore this costume as a member of the time displaced X-Men in the All-New X-Men vol.2 series. During her solo series, Laura's sisters / clones were introduced, including Gabby, whose popularity with fans would later result in her becoming her sidekick in all subsequent appearances. Laura would wear this costume until the 'Enemy of the State II' story arc (issues 13 - 18, where she finally killed her enemy Kimura with vengeance. When I first saw Laura replacing Logan as Wolverine, I immediately liked her costume, which suited her well due to the colours and the Astonishing X-Men design. I like how it differs from the design of Logan's outfit, which looks good on Laura compared to her father. Compared to Logan, yellow and blue look good on Laura as Wolverine, as these colours suit her more than her father.#laurakinney #laurakinneywolverine #wolverinelaurakinney #xmenfanart #xmendrawings #allnewwolverine #xmenlaurakinney #laurakinneyxmen by @mocannon1995

My drawings of Magneto in his 1980s X-Men costumes, which were both designed by artist John Romita Jr. During the decade, Magneto underwent a change in character. Under Chris Claremont's writing, the Master of Magnetism had evolved from a two-dimensional villain, into a three-dimensional anti-hero. With his Jewish heritage and background as a survivor of the Holocaust revealed, Magento attempted to reform himself.Slide 1 has Magneto in his first 80s costume, which he first wore in New Mutants vol.1 26. A drastic change from his iconic costume, it consisted of a sleeveless bodysuit covering him from neck-to-toe in a simple design. Coloured either purple or magenta with a matching pair of sleeved gloves, it came with a white or lavender large M on the torso and a purple cape (which sometimes had the same M pattern on the back). Magento first wore this costume when he attempted to reform and joined the X-Men. He notably wore this short-lived outfit during his trial in the 200th issue of the Uncanny X-Men vol.1 series, where he stood on trial in front of the United Nations to answers for his past crimes against humankind. This outfit was then adapted for the first season of X-Men '97.Slide 2 has Magneto in his second 80s costume, which he first wore in Uncanny X-Men vol.1 202. It consisted of a loose-fitting bodysuit with a v-neck which was magenta and came with a pair of white matching boots, gloves and a belt. The cape was either pink, red or purple and was held on by a pair of white discs connected by a pair. Presented in a mature and regal look, Magneto first wore this outfit after his trial, where he took over from Professor X as headmaster of his school and mentor of the New Mutants following his friend's departure from Earth. As headmaster of the New Mutants, Magento struggled to lead the junior team, who often rebelled against his authority, while the young team had ultimately cut ties with the Master of Magnetism in the aftermath of 'Inferno'.Both costumes are iconic in their own way, with magenta being a welcome change from the usual red and purple, whilst also perfectly showcasing his efforts to be a hero and teacher.#xmenmagneto #xmenfanart by @mocannon1995

X-Men 80s team: Post-Brood Saga to Secret Wars.- First Appearance: Uncanny X-Men vol.1 168 (1982).- Last Appearance: Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars Vol.1 12 (1984).- Status: Line-up changed following the events of 'Secret Wars'.- Members: Storm (team leader), Colossus, Cyclops, Nightcrawler, Rogue (joins in Uncanny X-Men vol.1 171), Sprite and Wolverine. After recovering from the events of the 'Brood Saga', the X-Men had carried on with business as usual. They had gained a secondary team of X-Men students known as the New Mutants, who were all trained by Professor X, who was now living in a newly cloned body which allowed him to walk. When former X-Man Angel was kidnapped by a group of sewer-dwelling mutants called Morlocks, who had presented him to their leader Callisto as a potential suitor, the X-Men came to Warren's aid, who was then freed after Storm had beaten Callisto in combat and became the new leader of the Morlocks (while Callisto had remained leader in Storm's absence). While visiting his grandparents, Cyclops met Madelyne Pryor, whom he became attracted to due to her bearing a strong resemblance to his late lover Jean Grey. As a result of her lack of control over her powers (especially when she had gained the persona of Carol Danvers), Rogue had left Mystique's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and joined the X-Men, a move that was controversial due to her past villainous role. Disgusted with Rogue joining the team, Carol (who had become Binary) had left Earth to join the Starjammers. Despite most of the X-Men threatening to quit due to Rogue, they slowly accepted Xavier's decision to let her join the team.As well as clashing with the Reverend William Stryker in 'God Loves, Man Kills', the Silver Samurai, and Viper, and Mastermind, the X-Men were notably involved in the wide-line 1984 crossover event 'Secret Wars'. Along with Earth's heroes and villains, the X-Men were transported into Battleworld by the cosmic entity known as the Beyonder, who pitted them all against each other in a battle of good versus evil. After foiling the plans of Doctor Doom to acquire the Beyonder's powers and reshape reality, the X-Men and others had returned. by @mocannon1995
