Whatโ€™s The 411? ( @therealmaryjblige ) Vegas was already a first for me, but what made this trip truly unforgettable was checking off something thatโ€™s been at the very top of my bucket list, meeting the legendary Mary J. Blige. To experience that with my client and friend, @musiqsoulchild performing with her, made it even more special. As if that wasnโ€™t enough, having my fam Smif-N-Wessun @generalsteele x @teksmokeelah hit the stage made it feel like home. Then on night two, @jarule hit the stage and took the energy to another level. Getting to watch @therealmaryjblige perform live two nights in a row and watching my client share the stage with her two nights in a row, performing their song โ€œIfULeaveโ€ together for the FIRST timeโ€ฆ whew. Thatโ€™s the kind of moment you dream about. Dreams donโ€™t always happen the way you imagine themโ€ฆ sometimes they happen even bigger. ๐Ÿฅนโค๏ธโ€ผ๏ธ This one is definitely for the books. @latonya_fab x Charlene THANK YOUUUUU!!!! #MYLife #MYPRLife #MaryJBlige #MusiqSoulchild taken in Park MGM by @moccastyles

๐Ÿ’™โœจ05:07:26 This past Friday in Maryland was one for the books. From an incredible performance at Live! Casino & Hotel to powerful moments of history, reflection, music, and community. The energy in those 24 hours was unforgettable. Shout out to Dame Esco @dameesco and Aneesa Strings @aneesastrings for bringing the vibes alongside my client @MusiqSoulchild, great, super talented performers! The atmosphere was amazing from start to finish. A beautiful hotel, amazing performances, great food and drinks, good people, and a crowd FULL of energy. Once the concert started, the room lit up. The audience was engaged, the artists were vibing, and I found myself in the back of the stage as always just taking it all in and soaking up the moment. After the show, we got to spend time with our amazing friends Blair & Brandon Dottin-Haley @the.blairisms and Sekyiwa โ€œSetโ€ Shakur @wildseed13 (sister of the late Tupac Shakur) who were all in Maryland for something truly monumental. The dedication of the 4000 block of Greenmount Avenue as Tupac Shakur Way in honor of Tupac Shakur. The moment stood as a powerful reminder of Tupacโ€™s legacy, his connection to Baltimore, and the continued work of the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation @4tasf through advocacy, mental health support, financial resources, and community impact. That day, Set Shakur planted a Peace Pole in Mullan Park as a symbol of unity, refuge, peace, connection, and a reminder to live and let live. And to top it all off, the first 2,000 fans at Orioles Field received limited edition Tupac Shakur Orioles bobbleheadsโ€ฆ and yes, Musiq and I were lucky enough to get one. Thank you Blair! Thank you Set! ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’› What a weekend filled with music, purpose, love, and unforgettable memories. #MusiqSoulchild #DameEsco #AneesaStrings #LiveCasinoAndHotel #MYPRLife by @moccastyles

This has been on my spiritโ€ฆ I am great because God said so. My worth was established way before the world ever had an opinion of me. I donโ€™t need permission to shine, validation to know my value, compliments to see my own beauty or applause to walk in my purpose. What God placed in me, no one can take away. I am who He says I am. Period. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพโœจ YOU are who HE says you are! ๐ŸคŽ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ taken in Brooklyn, N.Y. by @moccastyles

PUBLICIST STORYTIME: WHEN THE ROOM IS FULL OF LEGENDS ๐Ÿ‘‘โœจ I FILMED THIS ROLL CALL!!! #LyorCohenCelebrationOfHopeGala Let me set the sceneโ€ฆ October 18, 2023 โœจ two days after my birthday, and we had just returned from Cape Town, South Africa. We were headed to Lyor Cohenโ€™s annual event in W. Hollywood and when I tell you EVERYBODY who was anybody was in that building? BABYYYY! From @djcassidy to Jay-Z, Jazzy Jeff, Dru Hill, ONYX, major execs, and so many more, the star power was UNREAL! My client, @MusiqSoulchild, was set to hit the stage with DJ Cassidy for a superstar-studded Pass the Mic performance. Now, let me tell you about our table! ๐Ÿ˜‚ Seated at our table, my client, myself, our manager, Norm; @redmangilla @JaRule; and Irv Gotti. Across from us? Big Daddy Kane, Chuck D, Flavor Flavโ€ฆ I mean, COME ON! The star power was ENDLESS! Every major executive, media outlet, performer, artists and publicist you could think of was in that room. It was one of those nights where you look around and realize just how much history, influence, and talent is sitting under one roof. But can we talk about the DETAILS?! The centerpieces on the tables were actual boom boxes, painted and tagged with the eventโ€™s logo! And the walls surrounding the dining area took you on a journey from 1973 through 2003, with graffiti-style murals highlighting artists who came out during each era. The creativity and attention to detail were EVERYTHING! Iโ€™m so sorry I didnโ€™t record those walls because they deserved their own moment! I did get a little snippet. But if you can find those visuals online, take a look. They were incredible! And THIS, right here, is one of the perks of being a publicist to an ICONIC legacy artist. You get to experience moments, rooms, and events that are a part of music history. We got dressed to the NINES, enjoyed ourselves, and had the time of our lives! Oh, and did I mention Lyor flew people out on a PRIVATE JET?! โœˆ๏ธ๐Ÿ‘€ Listenโ€ฆ THIS is #PublicistBehavior This is #myPRlife. Welcome to PUBLICIST BEHAVIOR! ๐Ÿ’ผ๐Ÿฅ‚ Here are a few images from that unforgettable evening. โœจ Check my stories for clips. Yes! Iโ€™m HOOTIN & HOLLARIN! Youโ€™re looking for the right Publicistโ€ฆ and Iโ€™m looking for the right Artist/Client fit. So let me tell you ๐“๐‡๐„ ๐…๐ˆ๐•๐„ ๐“๐‡๐ˆ๐๐†๐’ ๐ˆ ๐‹๐Ž๐Ž๐Š ๐…๐Ž๐‘ ๐๐„๐…๐Ž๐‘๐„ ๐–๐„ ๐–๐Ž๐‘๐Š ๐“๐Ž๐†๐„๐“๐‡๐„๐‘. Before I take on an artist, Iโ€™m looking for more than just good music. Iโ€™m looking at the story, the vision, the timing, the brand and YOU. Because PR is a partnership. I can build the strategy, make the calls, pitch the story and open doorsโ€ฆ But I need an artist who is ready to walk through them. In this episode of PUBLICIST BEHAVIOR, Iโ€™m breaking down the 5 things I look for before I take on an artist as a client. If youโ€™re an artist thinking about hiring a publicist, or wondering if youโ€™re PR readyโ€ฆ this one is for YOU. ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿพ ๐—ช๐—ต๐—ฎ๐˜ ๐—ฑ๐—ผ ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚ ๐—น๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—ธ ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ? Letโ€™s chat. ๐Ÿ“ŒFollow for more PR talk, industry insight and a little Publicist Behavior. And Sharing is Caring. Please share. And stay tuned for more. Next, I discuss: 5 Things an Artist Should Know BEFORE Hiring a Publicist. โœจOh, I got yโ€™all too! #PublicistBehavior #EntertainmentPR #MusicIndustry #ArtistDevelopment #IndependentArtist by @moccastyles
