Intuitive ornamentals ༄

Bottom half is healed ~6-8 months, very top and outer shoulders are fresh ✨

It was such an honor to work on this project and try out a new style 🙏🏼 I feel especially drawn toward designs that flow with the body, and the intuitive runes and organic shapes combined with the sharp geometry giving off old magic. Thank you so much Alex for your trust and partnership on this large project! 🖤 From anime panels to a full back, I am so grateful to get to work with you and so lucky for the creative freedom as your artist ☺️ I would love to do more in this style!

My tattoo process from start to finish 🌿✨

I am thrilled with how lovely this piece is turning out 🖤 Mia has been getting tattooed by me for 3+ years, and over time we’ve built up a lot of trust, from small minimal linework, to larger fineline concepts. This time she chose one of my DREAM concept designs from my wanna-do collection, a project I’ve been wistfully sitting on for nearly 2 years - a combination of fine, asymmetrical full-body flow featuring florals, norigae and ornamental charms. She even chose my favorite color to start off the flowers! 🥹🙏🏼 Every once in a while, a special project comes along that lets me grow and flex my skills… and this is definitely one of those projects! I’m delighted to add this one to the portfolio, and to show you all what we add next!! 🙌🏼✨ Thank you so much @aesthetics.withmia for your trust and dedication - I can’t think of a better person to wear this design! 🖤

First part of this Ghibli style pet portrait for my awesome client! We are adding 3 of his furry family members to an existing pup portrait on the lower wrist - Darren wanted to combine his love for anime and Studio Ghibli with his love for his pets 🖤 with nods to Your Name, Totoro, and Spirited Away ✨ I’m so excited to continue work on this one!! Thank you Darren 🙏🏼

Haku and Chihiro 🌊✨

Some new shots of the upper on this full Ghibli sleeve I got to create for my awesome client Christopher!! This sleeve is the most custom Ghibli I’ve done in a single project, with fully custom Haku and Chihiro, Princess Mononoke and Yakul, and Arrietty 🖤 Love love love this project, I’d love to do more with incorporated scenery and backgrounds like this!

Hannya • Protector 🗡️🌊

Tattoo done on my body, made by Frida at her studio, Evitas, in Sweden 🙏🏼

This backpiece is more than art. It is a record of who I’ve been, and why I work the way I do. I want to share what that means to me, and why it matters in my work. 🤍

I started drawing on skin when I was about 10 years old, completely fascinated by the idea of a living, moving canvas. Markers, pens, anything I could find - my body was covered (much to my parents’ horror). It was around 12 years old that I learned tattooing was a real profession, and not long after, I hand-poked my first tattoo on myself… then many more, on my friends. Despite a lot of pushback from my more traditional family, I have quite literally *always* wanted to be a body artist. ✍🏻

Starting that young came with consequences. A lot of the tattoos on my body are from a time when access, education, and choice were limited. Before Instagram portfolios and global reach, you walked into whatever shop was open, flipped through a binder on the counter, and hoped for the best. Some of those tattoos don’t serve me. Some hold painful memories. Some came from vulnerability, some came with loss of autonomy, or surprises I didn’t agree to. ❤️‍🩹

I could remove them - laser has come a long way - but being heavily tattooed has always been part of who I am. Instead, I chose to hold these memories and cover the art with intention. The industry has evolved so much in a short time, and it’s easier than ever to reach artists all over the world now.

With that choice, every difficult tattoo on my body lives in my hands when I work with you…

They are the reason I never rush a stencil.

The reason I check my ego at the door.

The reason I answer questions patiently and hold your trust with care.

I have lived the ugly parts, in the hopes that you don’t have to.

As tattooers, sometimes we may be selling art… but most of the time, we are selling healing, memories, connection, confidence, validation, acceptance.
