Frijid Pink - House of the rising sun (Deram Records) 1970 Vinyl

The Animals had a hit with this old number in 1964, this heavier guitar led instrumental version reached number 4 in 1970. Frijid Pink were an American Pyschedelic Rock group formed in Detroit in 1967 . This song was recorded as a filler to use up studio time and sold over a million copies hitting the Billboard Top Ten in 1970. Further chart success eluded them here, although they released several albums in the U.S and reformed for gigs.

Lucky to find this copy with such a great condition Original company sleeve.

Tony Christie-Give me your love again (MCA Records) 1971 Vinyl 45 Single

This great little #northernsoul crossover from an early seventies pop hit for Tony Christie is on the B-Side to “I did what I did for Maria”.

This was Tony’s first single to crack the German charts, and it went to no.4 in 1971. His next single “Amarillo” later that year even made number one.

Another very cheap pick up from the charity shop.
