Excited to announce that @saexia and @jaspercrystalwizard will be opening the night playing Saexia's wonderful music. Always feeling lucky to be collaborating with them.

I'm also joined by the incredible vocalist @emmanayun for my music who will be representing some of the historical characters that I've been writing about for these last 5 years!

And I'm experimenting with some visuals that @framesfromames has kindly created for me with her interpretation of the music.

This is an immense collaborative show and would love to see people there at the beginning stages to get feedback before I set my sights on a larger production!

Excited to share the next completed art commission that's part of my continuing concept album. This time an animation was created by @framesfromames that thoughtfully took the time to dive into internet archives for references. This currently unreleased song is about the start of the Mexican border patrol to stop Chinese immigration in 1904, along the El Paso border. Come hear the full song at the next show on Oct 4th, link in bio!

"A Chinese boy blinks as border guards move past him. The boy is larger than life, blending into the landscape, but because of this, undetected and unseen. The boy is 'dreaming on the border, ' as parts of him mix with the stars-and are the stars themselves. It is his glow that is illuminating the landscape."

Amy is a Chinese American visual artist who enjoys playing with color and surrealism through colored pencil portraiture, mixed media animation, and collage. Her past work has been inspired by her experiences and observations on invisibility, objectification, and language. taken in El Paso, Texas by @modelperil
