What a pleasure it was to do these quick portrait sketches of the soulful @modeltimothyclark With his long flowing locks and groovy ‘stache he kinda reminded me of a musketeer.
I used a bamboo pen for the first two and the last three are oil paintings.
Thanks to the fabulous @now_draw_ and @susannah__pal for hosting these portrait sessions with such great models and such great artists with such style taken in West Village. NYC,NY by @modeltimothyclark

our very first figure drawing gathering felt a little like stepping into another time ..!! ⚔️

the night didn’t arrive without a few hiccups - a last-minute venue change, a model falling through - but somehow it all came together exactly as it needed to, and we’re so grateful it did

low light, warm rooms, music in the background, bodies holding still, hands moving across paper. artists and non-artists alike came to draw from life, practice, observe, mingle, and spend a few hours making something just for the sake of making it

a very special thank you to our incredible models @kaitsworld.png and @modeltimothyclark, our friend @mattbrownoffline for giving us such an unreal place to gather, @dewymonday for the blue hour goodie bags, and @leiatabriephoto for quietly capturing the evening behind the scenes (photos soon)

so grateful to everyone who showed up and made the night what it was :) we loved seeing familiar friends and making new ones

should we host another? by @modeltimothyclark
