Climate Week NYC is here. 🌎

Swipe through to explore what’s happening. From reimagining cities and accelerating renewable energy to restoring local ecosystems, climate storytelling, community action, and new ways of living alongside nature, this year’s events are bringing climate solutions out of conversation and into practice.

We’re spotlighting a few events happening across NYC that bring together artists, activists, innovators, organizations, and communities working toward a more regenerative future.

And to close out the week, join us on September 28 for 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘴𝘴 𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦, presented by Visions2030, Climate Imaginarium, and the Wythe Hotel. The screening of Kayla Weisdorf’s new documentary will be followed by a conversation and Q&A exploring ecological restoration, public engagement, and the role of art in inspiring climate action.

Some snaps from our first ever beauty swap event this summer. We gathered members of our community for an open exchange of products that were no longer serving purpose in our homes, but still had life to give.

A special thank you to our partners @soldejaneiro for the iconic bum bum cream and refills ✨ and @pact_collective for the information on beauty recycling ♻️ And of course @cicchettibk for allowing us into the space and embracing our community 🍷

Happy #secondhandseptember to all who celebrate ✨

What started as an initiative by @oxfaminternational has led to pockets of both grassroots and large scale efforts to educate consumers on the fashion industry’s environmental impact, and ways to participate sustainably as an individual.

All month long we’ll be sharing information about overproduction, overconsumption, and how it affects our world. Might even have a fun event in the works for our NY family too 🤭 by @modern.liability

Back in May, we hosted our spring sidewalk sale at HVK park. In support of Mental Health Awareness Month, sellers from this event donated a portion of their profits to @asafespacementor — an org based here in Brooklyn that focuses on bringing mental health equity to our community.

Sustainability and mental health are incredibly intertwined, and it brings us joy to be able to recirculate clothing while also supporting a group that provides free resources for mental wellness.

Join us 6/7 from 2-4 PM our first ever beauty swap at Cicchetti BK. We’re purging our beauty counters and re-homing all of our unused and unwanted goodies.

Swipe for acceptable items. Products will be vetted before being offered up to participants, with an additional sanitation station as needed.
