Sometimes the biggest risk isn’t failing.

It’s staying somewhere for the comfort.

For 10 years I had security, routine and a guaranteed payslip every month. Leaving that behind was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made.

There were plenty of moments where I questioned whether I’d done the right thing.

But I knew I wanted to build something that actually meant something to me.

Helping people become healthier, stronger and more confident isn’t just my job now, it’s what gets me out of bed in the morning. 💪

This month, for the first time, my business matched my military salary.

Because I backed myself, stayed consistent and kept showing up, even when nobody was watching.

If you’re sitting on an idea, wondering whether you’re good enough, this is your reminder that you’ll never know unless you take the first step.

Here’s to the next chapter. 🚀 by @modern.man.project

Firstly, I’m not a farmer…

But many of my closest friends are. They work across poultry, livestock, arable and agricultural contracting, so I’ve seen first hand what rural working life demands.

And this isn’t only about farmers.

It’s for gamekeepers, forestry workers, tree surgeons, fencers, groundsmen, tradesmen and everyone else whose living depends on long hours and physical graft.

Your working day is different.

Early mornings, late finishes, unpredictable seasons and a body that takes a hammering. Getting to the gym isn’t always as straightforward as finishing a 9-5 and training on the way home.

Then there’s the bait box, rushed packed lunches, food grabbed on the go and meals eaten whenever you can fit them in.

You can graft all day and still look in the mirror thinking, “What the hell is going on here?”

Working hard doesn’t automatically make you strong, fit or healthy.

But you don’t need to live in the gym or survive on chicken and rice. You need effective training, better nutrition and simple habits built around your actual working life.

That means more strength, better movement, less body fat, more energy and greater confidence.

And let’s be honest, your other half probably won’t complain either. If you’re single, the extra confidence certainly won’t hurt.

You invest so much into your work, your family and everyone around you.

It’s time to invest in your own health too.

25kg down in 5 months. 115kg → 90kg. 👏

No Mounjaro. No weight loss jabs. No crash diet.

Just five months of consistently doing the basics well, with the right plan, accountability and my support along the way.

And he hasn’t been perfect.

He’s a busy bloke, runs his own business and has two kids. Getting to the gym consistently hasn’t always been possible.

But what has been consistent is his nutrition and the habits we’ve built together over the last five months.

That’s where the results have come from.

Yes, he’s 25kg lighter. But more importantly, he’s stronger, fitter, more confident and has completely changed his relationship with his health.

He’s built something he can actually maintain without his entire life having to revolve around getting in shape.

And that’s exactly what this should be about.

Sustainable fat loss doesn’t require perfection. It requires consistency.

If you’re busy with life but want to get back in shape without living in the gym or following some ridiculous diet, give me a follow. 🕺🏽🙏🏼💪🏽

There’s far more to health and fitness than having six-pack abs.

I started Modern Man Project because I wanted to help people in the rural community become stronger, healthier and feel better about themselves.

Not everyone has the time, or even the desire, to spend hours in the gym every week. And you don’t need to.

For me, it’s about helping you understand nutrition, build good habits and finding a way to look after yourself that actually fits around your life.

More energy, better physical and mental health, improved strength and confidence. Looking better is simply another benefit of getting those things right.

And don’t worry, there’ll still be plenty of countryside life on here. Shooting, fishing, dogs and probably a regular beer. 🍻

If you’re new here, thanks for following along. 🙏🏼

And if you know someone who could benefit from what I’m sharing, give this a share. 🌿 by @modern.man.project

I rarely venture into London, and I’m quite happy keeping it that way. 😂

Five days out of seven, I’m in the gym before the birds wake up.

Do I always want to get out of bed that early? Absolutely not.

But it sets me up for the day. Training done, feeling good, and I can crack on with everything else.

I’m fortunate enough to have the time to train five days a week. I know plenty of people don’t.

But…Three structured full body sessions a week, with progression over time, are more than enough to make a real difference.

Combine that with one or two CV sessions a bit of mobility and a decent diet, and I can almost guarantee you’ll see results.

You’ll get stronger, look better, feel better and become more capable.

You don’t need to live in the gym. You just need to make that decision to change how you do things, get started and stick with it.

You have to want change.

Consistency + progression = results. 👌🏽 by @modern.man.project

As a working dog owner, I must say “heel” about a million times a year. Probably double that between October and the end of January. 😂

I’ve tried every trick in the book, but this dog has so much drive and excitement!

If I got a quid every time I said “heel”, I’d be a bloody millionaire by now. 💰 by @modern.man.project

Every year without fail 🍂🥃

Last year we picked far too many sloes, so the freezer has been full of them waiting for this exact moment.

This is just one of the massive jars we make up ready for the shoot days over winter (and a general tipple).

One of the best little traditions of the year.

Farmer strength is definitely a thing 😂

I’ve seen it firsthand with plenty of my mates who’ve spent their lives farming and working physical jobs.

They might not train like a bodybuilder or care what they can bench…

But put them in a situation where something needs lifting, carrying, dragging or shifting and there’s a different kind of strength there.

Years of physical work builds a pretty solid base.

Now imagine taking that base and adding proper strength training, decent nutrition and a bit of structure around recovery.

You’d be an absolute weapon.

The aim isn’t to replace the strength your work has given you.

It’s to build on it so you’re stronger, fitter and more capable for the long run.

Farmer strength is real. Train it properly. 🌾 by @modern.man.project
