Since today is my birthday and lots of new faces have joined me here lately, I thought it would be a good time to reintroduce myself.

If you’re new here, hi! 👋

I’m Jane, a serial redecorator with a willing, patient and talented husband. We always have a project or two (or 3!) on the go. Love antiquing, cute coffee shops, reading, gardening, traveling, fun clothes, and my people. 🤍Our two iggies, Vinnie and June run the show around our house.

Hope you’ll stick around! taken in Prince Edward Island by @modernjane

Sometimes I look around our home and can’t believe it used to be all white. Bringing in color has brought so much warmth and personality to our spaces.

Finished our front porch makeover just in time for pumpkins and mums!

We painted the stair risers, posts and railing the same color as the screen door - BM Night Owl but had it mixed at @kentbuildingsupplies using their Sico exterior paint.

First pot of soup of the season 🍂

There’s something about that first cool stretch of fall that has me reaching for the soup pot.

I’m making this one in my new ceramic nonstick 7-piece cookware set from @onequince - easy to cook with, easy to clean, and perfect for those cozy everyday meals.

A little fall comfort, one pot at a time. 🤎

Shop Quince Canada with CAD pricing + duties included, free shipping, and easy 365-day returns. Promo code INFG-26MODERNJANE10 for 10% off valid for new customers in the app.

10 years ago today, my mom passed away. I thought we’d have more time together.

Not a day goes by that I don’t think of her.

I love you mom, always. ❤️

New coffee table 🤎 A solid natural oak piece from @hettahome was the perfect choice for this space.. and the best part? There’s finally room for all the books, flowers, candles, pottery and treasures I love to pile on. I’m definitely not a less-is-more coffee table person.

Scenes from the coziest, rainy long weekend at home. ☔️

Started drying some flowers.
Drank lots of coffee.

Rescued my gladiolus before all the rain.

Tidied kitchen shelves and drawers.

Lots of reading in bed.

Cleaned out my office for back to school.
Sewing machine taunting me since I’ve yet to finish the quilt I started last winter.

Looked for a spot for this plate. Handmade and gifted to me by @jencrokencreative. Queen Anne’s lace forever!

My favorite takeout (with leftovers).

Thought about doing some baking.

We all did a lot of this.

I was on cake duty for my sister’s 60th birthday party. My go to is always to dress a cake with flowers but I went a different direction since it was duo 60th party with her great friend Adam.

We had a recent conversation about the best 5 cent candies of our childhoods and it inspired this cake. Full disclosure - it was a bit of a nightmare to cut. 😂

Shopping in Spain was happy surprise. So many of my favorite things - ceramics, sneakers and fun pants!
