Fast cycling doesn't exist. 🐠
Akil's new guide explains his method for starting reef aquariums: a controlled inoculation cycle.

You start with dry rock, aragonite sand, low salinity and no livestock. Then you add only what you want, in a fixed order:

Bacteria → microfauna → fish → invertebrates and copepods → coralline algae → corals

✅ Low-salinity cycling (1.009–1.010 SG)
✅ A one-time full water change to flush out pollutants
✅ About 6 weeks of blackout
✅ Salinity raised slowly with the auto top-off
✅ No corals until coralline algae is growing
✅ Full coral quarantine protocol

It's harder at the start, but you get the cleanest possible start: no hitchhiking pests, no problem algae.

"Work hard at the beginning so you work less later." – Akil
