FIRST in HISTORY‼️ The first-ever headpiece made with sea creatures DONE in ABUJA-NIGERIA by @theempressstyling!💫
-————————————————————————————————
If you’ve ever eaten a snail in Nigeria, chances are, that snail came from the Southern part of Nigeria. Their terrains and creeks have been known for centuries to be the habitats of edible sea creatures like crabs, crayfish, prawns, snails, oysters, and pearls.

For decades, I’ve always wondered why none of these elements have been infused into their style or presentation. Maybe the revolution was waiting for THE EMPRESS STYLING 😊.

I was at the mall and saw these seashells on a shelf and the idea hit me immediately and I got to work on it immediately.

Now this one-of-a-kind Headpiece is not available for rent, but can be accessed when our STYLING SERVICES are booked.

However, this headpiece would be available for EXCLUSIVE viewing at the 2026 @fashionfablesrunwayafrica happening on the 18th of October in ABUJA.

Welcome to AFRICA‼️ Where the sun shines & culture is ALIVE!💫
-————————————————————————————————
The one where an “AKAN” Ivorian man comes to marry an “IJAW” Southern Nigerian Lady. 🤩

And before you say the Akan tribe is also found in Ghana, we CHOSE to tell it from the Ivorian perspective. 😊
-————————————————————————————————
The ELEPHANT interpreted in the groom’s staff symbolizes STRENGTH in the Ivorian culture.
The yellow we chose for his ensemble symbolizes gold which that region is rich in.

The bride’s headpiece adorned with seashells, oysters and snails symbolizes the sea creatures that are peculiar to the Southern part of Nigeria. NEVER has that been interpreted in this way before - not visually. Show me, I’ll wait. 😊

We were intentional about every single thing! From the colour pallete, to the silhouette, the design and choice of accessories. 👌

More history coming. Stay tuned and turn on your post-notifications. 😎
