One thing about postpartum is there’s little thoughts that keeps on creeping in. While I want to Get My Groove Back, there’s always some self-doubt lurking around.

This hood (motherhood) is the most amazing and yet difficult space to be in. And today, it’s one of those days… in my feels and what not.

But then again I always knew that getting this groove back won’t be a walk in the park.

The kitchen is one of the things I consider my happy place, I take delight in cooking and feeding the people I love but, I’m no baker 🤣🤣.

And this right here is my little experiment in the kitchen. It’s these little things that excite me and I’m glad I can still find joy in them.

Day 3/30 of #findingmygrooveback

I recently discovered a parkrun in my neighbourhood and today was my second Saturday going. As someone who struggles to reach even 5K steps during the week, I’m just proud that I can finish a 5km walk.

I’m literally taking it one step at a time. No pressure, no trying to prove anything. Just getting out there and moving my body.

Yho! Never thought it’s that easy for one to lose themselves in motherhood. You literally move mountains for everyone else except yourself and identify as mom/ wife and nothing/no one else.

I’m so glad to be pulling out of that. Finally finding and falling in love with me again. Because our loved ones deserve the best version of ourselves.
