Just had the privilege of making one last CCA class visit to talk with the illustration students... I’ve been avoiding making this post for a while because I still can’t quite believe that we’re losing the last art school in San Francisco — and with it, such a huge piece of our city’s art history.

I graduated from CCA in 2014, and this school prepared me for everything the real world of this industry had to offer. It made me tough and resilient, and gave me the best work ethic I could have asked for. I had the privilege of studying alongside incredibly talented humans and being taught by some of the most brilliant professors, many of whom later became friends, mentors, and lifelong influences.

It’s going to take a long time to process this tremendous loss for our art community. But in the meantime, I’ll cherish the good times and look back with a smile at all the incredible experiences I got to share with my fellow artists at this amazing institution.

Swipe for some student work and memories. <3 by @modmoiselle1
