This week I’ve drilled holes… thousands and thousands of holes! 😅

Unfortunately, all that drilling has kept the machine tied up and caused a bit of a delay with our faceplates. I’m starting to think it might be time to invest in another CNC dedicated just to making boards!

The good news is the drilling marathon is nearly over, so it’ll be full steam ahead on faceplates next week.

Thanks as always for your patience and support.

Have a great weekend, everyone! 🍻 by @modulusamps

I've had this D Style cab listing sitting in the shop for a while… and I've just realised it was still set to hidden. Oops! 🤦‍♂️

Sorry about that!

The good news is it's live now and available to order. 👍

This silverface Vibro Champ came in for us to look at. Crackle on some notes when playing. Previous tech said the board needed replaced to solve the issue.
It’s working fine now with the old board and components.

For those that like to ask about not twisting heaters, this is the way old fenders did the heaters and the noise floor is low. by @modulusamps

Mini Kit Transformers – Now Available Separately!

We’ve had quite a few requests to make the transformers from our Mini Amp Kits available to buy on their own — so they’re now live in the shop!

Perfect for your own custom amp builds, experiments and DIY projects.

If you build something cool using our transformers, we’d love to see it — send us some photos or share your build with us!

🎉 MODULUS IS 18! 🎉 - Discount Code at the end

This week is a particularly special one for us. Modulus Amplification is 18 years old — and so is my daughter, Naomi.

Back in 2008, I sold my very first amplifier part on the exact same day that Naomi was born.

Naomi is profoundly disabled, and reaching her 18th birthday is an incredibly special milestone for our family — her miracle birthday.

But the connection between Naomi and Modulus goes much deeper than simply sharing a birthday.

One of the reasons I chose to build my own business was because I needed the flexibility to be a dad first. Being self-employed has allowed me to work around family life, to be there when I’m needed at home, while gradually building Modulus into the business it is today.

In many ways, without Naomi, Modulus would not be what it is today.

What began with selling a single fuse on ebay 18 years ago has grown into us manufacturing our own transformers, chassis, faceplates, turret boards and complete amplifier kits here in Scotland.

There have been plenty of long days, late nights and challenges along the way, but I’m incredibly grateful that this little business has allowed me to do something I love while still putting my family first.

And, of course, none of it would have been possible without you — our customers, builders, friends and supporters who have supported Modulus over the past 18 years. Thank you.

So to celebrate our two 18th birthdays, we’re offering a small birthday discount on our 18 Watt amplifier kits till Saturday night

Use code NAOMI at checkout for 10% OFF our kits in the 18 Watt kit category in the shop.

https://modulusamplification.com/18w-plexi-kits-156-c.asp

Now you know why the code had to be NAOMI.

Thank you for being part of our journey. by @modulusamps

Chris just finished off this new 10w prototype today and it sounds glorious. This is British and not plexi! Can you see what it is?

This will be one of a few new low wattage kits to be released in the next couple of weeks. by @modulusamps

“Can you make me a chassis for my AC15 build?”
Looks like we can!

Was a bit tricky making the top hat part, but this should work well by @modulusamps

Lovely little custom faceplate about to be wrapped up and shipped off. Sharp finish, crisp detail, and soon to be gracing the front of someone’s custom build.
