Modus Möbel – modern seit 1964:
1964 von Inez Franksen gegründet war Modus von Anfang an Vorreiter beim Entdecken neuer Designer und Hersteller.
Das Interesse an gutem Design und an Designkultur ist bei uns bis heute spürbar.
Regelmäßig feiern wir zeitgenössisches Möbeldesign bei Veranstaltungen in unseren Ausstellungräumen.
In unserer Veranstaltungsreihe Modus & Friends sprechen wir mit Designern, Herstellern, Architekten und Künstlern über Designprozesse und die Freude an guter Gestaltung - es wird diskutiert, getrunken, gegessen und gefeiert.

Founded in 1964 by Inez Franksen, Modus has been a pioneer in discovering new designers and manufacturers right from the start.
Our passion for good design and design culture is still very much alive today..
We regularly celebrate contemporary furniture design at events in our showroom.
In our ‘Modus & Friends’ series of events, we talk to designers, manufacturers, architects and artists about design processes and the joy of good design - there‘s discussion, food, drink and celebration.

Anzeige | A new chapter. A 9 sqm guest room is being transformed into a compact creative studio, bringing together workspace, a private library, inspiration and a curated collection of objects. At its centre is the Eiermann shelving system by @richard.lampert a modern classic based on Egon Eiermann’s 1932 design. Its modular character allows colour, materials, dimensions and details to be adapted to the space, reflecting Richard Lampert’s approach of combining enduring classics with contemporary and unconventional design. Together with the experts at @modusmoebel the focus is on finding the right configuration, carefully considering materials, proportions, colours and the existing elements of the room.

@modusmoebel Berlin has been a destination for design culture for over 60 years. Since 1964, the showroom in Berlin Charlottenburg has brought together exceptional furniture, materials and design expertise. In the impressive material library, the existing materials of the room come together as the basis for the consultation, helping to explore the different configurations of the Eiermann shelving system and find the right combination of colour, material and dimensions for the space.

The unique @modusmoebel material library offers the opportunity to experience materials up close. Textiles, finishes and surfaces can be seen, touched and combined with different colours and material samples, making the process of selecting and refining a design both intuitive and personal. This close engagement with materiality reflects a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and design culture, as well as for the people and expertise behind each material.

A new city-wide design festival:
Currents. Design in Berlin
We warmly invite you to two exhibitions we are hosting on Wielandstraße as part of the newly launched design festival Currents. Design in Berlin.
Firstly, we are showcasing furniture and lighting by Victor Foxtrot and celebrating our new collaboration with the Hamburg-based label.
Secondly, we are showcasing ‘missing part:Moormann’, a collection of works by students from the Product Design course at the Weißensee Academy of Art. At Modus, we have a long-standing tradition of engaging with architecture, design and Berlin’s art academies, which we bring to life through exhibitions and discussions with the designers.
Currents was founded by freelance journalists Laura Ewert and Jasmin Jouhar and aims to strengthen our city’s identity as a centre of design. Currents takes place at around 40 venues with over 50 participants and is aimed equally at the general public and industry professionals.

Carolin Kreidel and Florian Vogel from Victor Foxtrot, the students and Professor Jakob Timpe will be in attendance to demonstrate how different stakeholders from academia and design practice enrich the design scene.

Carolin Kreidel and Florian Vogel will provide an insight into Victor Foxtrot’s collection, working methods and local production.

Last Thursday in Berlin, we had the pleasure of presenting the Lucia Eames™ Rug Collection at @modusmoebel Berlin.

Together with Maria Piera Marquina, our CEO, and the MODUS team, we shared the story behind the collection and the creative journey that brought Lucia Eames’ artistic universe into textile form.

A special evening surrounded by the Berlin design community, familiar faces and inspiring conversations.

Thank you to the entire @modusmoebel team and to everyone who joined us and made the evening such a memorable one.
