Quickly throwing this post here because I wanted to change my profile picture. But as always, I will post a reminder. But this time, it’d be one that will click in the brain and hit at the heart! By Allah I have cried uncontrollably upon hearing this hadith. May Allah have mercy upon all of us in this blessed month of Ramadan. Narrated Anas bin Malik: While the Prophet (ﷺ) and I were coming out of the mosque, a man met us outside the gate. The man said, “O Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)! When will be the Hour?” The Prophet (ﷺ) asked him, “What have you prepared for it?” The man became afraid and ashamed and then said, “O Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)! I haven’t prepared for it much of fasts, prayers or charitable gifts but I love Allah and His Messenger.” The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “You will be with the one whom you love.”
Don’t be like the Jews and Christians who “took their rabbis and monks as lords besides Allah” (At-Tawbah 9:31). When Adi ibn Hatim رضي الله عنه said: “We did not worship them,” the Prophet ﷺ replied: “Did they not make permissible what Allah made forbidden and you accepted it, and forbid what Allah made permissible and you accepted it?” He said: “Yes.” The Prophet ﷺ said: “That was your worship of them.” (Tirmidhi, Ahmad) Many Muslims today fall into the same trap. We pray but neglect Allah’s laws—accepting salah yet ignoring how zakat must be collected or how hudood are prescribed. The Prophet ﷺ warned: “When you deal in ‘inah (usury), hold onto the tails of cows, become content with agriculture, and abandon jihad—Allah will inflict humiliation upon you until you return to your religion.” (Abu Dawud, Ahmad) And look around: every war fought today is for power, money, greed, and nationalism—all of which are haram. True jihad is only for the sake of Allah—to elevate His word and to help the oppressed in the land. But this jihad is absent because there is no Islamic political structure to carry it out. Until the Ummah returns to the complete Deen with Khilafah, we will remain humiliated and divided. by @mohammad_wafi007

Back with a better shemagh, better bisht and just that classic najdi vibe… As I always put an Islamic reminder every time I update my profile picture, I will continue that little tradition of mine. Here it is: Be aware of what you do, or what you say, or what you affirm to be true (as in believe) in the heart. For verily Actions, Statements and Beliefs are all tied to Al Iman and are part of it. Remember that only a Mu’min/Muslim will enter Jannah. Ibn ‘Uyaynah narrated to us, from ‘Amr, from Nāfi’ ibn Jubayr, that the Messenger of Allāh (sallAllāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) sent Bishr ibn Suhaym Al-Ghifārī – on the day of slaughtering – to call out among the people in Minā: “Verily, only a believing soul will enter Paradise.” (Hadith 12 of Kitab Al Iman of Imam ibn abi shaybah, that which he wrote separately from al Musannaf and Shaykh ‘Adil aal Hamdan graded it saheeh in the footnotes of his tahqeeq) Remember that we live in hard times… And this hardness is regarding our Iman and obedience to Allah. It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) observed: Be prompt in doing good deeds (before you are overtaken) by Fitnah which would be like a part of the dark night. During (that stormy period) a man would be a Mu’min/Muslim in the morning and an Kafir in the evening or he would be a Mu’min/Muslim in the evening and an Kafir in the morning, and would sell his faith for worldly goods. (Sahih Muslim 118) We are in times where losing our faith and becoming kafir is extremely easy… And on top of that we are always faced with different types of filth and doubts. So if we don’t take heed now, then we may not even have that opportunity later to fix our mistakes. Take my advice and remember, the duniya is such a testing field where the papers can be snatched away anytime, indicating a clear end of the test (By this I am referring to Death). Thus put in it your best response. And if a sin ever happens, then rush back to Allah in asking for forgiveness and repentance. by @mohammad_wafi007
