Alhamdulillah, syukur.

My first ever AIM nomination for “P. Ramlee Saloma” by @alphaofficial.

To my sparring partner @justseow, thank you for producing this piece with me and for being part of the journey from the very beginning. To @alphaofficial, thank you for trusting us and for bringing this song to life in your own beautiful way.

And to @rocketfuel @merppremo @pasha562 , thank you for believing in the demo from the very first day you heard it and for trusting the song enough to give it a home.

This nomination may have my name attached to it, but it carries a little piece of everyone who believed in this song along the way.

Alhamdulillah for this rezeki. One song, so many people to be thankful for. 🤍 by @mohseinkush

Assalamualaikum. Syukur Alhamdulillah.
I’m still trying to process everything. I’ve wanted to be a singer/songwriter for as long as I can remember. I still remember my tuition teacher making fun of me in front of the whole class just because I said I wanted to become a singer. But somehow, I kept going. Then one day, Mike Chan from Faithful Music asked me to meet Justin Seow in the studio and try writing a few songs together. That meeting changed my life. There was something different about the chemistry Justin and I had in the studio. One day, I was going through something with someone very special to me, and I told Justin I wanted to write about it while everything was still fresh. He said, “Let’s do it.” So we showed up at the studio, and that day, we wrote a song called P Ramlee Saloma (which was only supposed to be a working title at the time.) Justin asked if he could share the song with other labels in case it found its home with another artist. I said yes. Because if the rezeki wasn’t meant for Mohsein Kush as the singer, maybe it was meant for someone else. The song got rejected so many times. Maybe people didn’t understand the vision because the song was too personal to me. Until one day, Prem Anand from Rocketfuel called Justin and said they wanted the song for their Big Stage artist, Alpha. And once again, I told Justin, “Let’s give it to them. At least someone believes in this song. by @mohseinkush
