Set clear working hours. Tell yourself: I leave at this time, and stick to it.
Of course, in finance, there will be times when you have to stay late, it’s unavoidable.
But the problem is when it becomes a habit.
At first, I stayed until I finished everything… I’d end up leaving at 8:30pm when I would’ve been more efficient the next day.

Actually switch off after work. It’s probably the hardest part.
Don’t think about what’s left. When you stop, you really stop.

Take real breaks during the day.
Even short breaks every hour make you way more productive.

Say no more often.
At first, I said yes to everything. It’s a good mindset, but not always the right move. You need to prioritize.

Have a physical activity outside work.

Being good isn’t enough.
You need to be liked.
You need to move people.
And with AI, pure technical skill matters less.

2- 80% of the job is understanding the system… and its politics
Who really decides.
Who signs off what.
How information flows.
Where things get stuck.
Ignore this, you stay stuck.

3- Your career depends more on perception than actual performance
Same results, different narratives.
One is “reliable”. The other is “lucky”.
Everything changes.
Perception drives careers.
