Hola! 🇬🇧I am happy to announce my participation in Mercato in Darsena, the new space dedicated to local creative craftsmanship in the heart of Parco Ciani in Lugano. In this gorgeous iconic space local micro-entrepreneurs and artisans are having the opportunity to exhibit and sell unique products. Open rain or shine, it is immersed in the nature of the park. I will be there this weekend 5-6 April with one-of-a-kind pieces handmade by my amazing artisan-partners in Mexico, ready to be discovered! I can’t wait to meet you there! 💛
🇮🇹Ciao! Sono felice di annunciare la mia partecipazione a Mercato in Darsena, il nuovo spazio dedicato all’artigianato creativo locale nel cuore del Parco Ciani a Lugano. In questo splendido spazio iconico, microimprenditori e artigiani locali hanno l’opportunità di esporre e vendere prodotti unici. Aperto con qualsiasi condizione meteo, è immerso nella natura del parco. Sarò lì questo fine settimana, 5-6 aprile, con pezzi unici realizzati a mano dai miei fantastici partner artigiani in Messico, pronti per essere scoperti! Non vedo l’ora di incontrarvi lì! 💛

Ho ricevuto dei regali speciali, pieni di energia. Si tratta di oggetti creati da una tribù Huichol Wixarika, profondamente connessi alla Madre Terra e all’Universo, un popolo intriso di misticismo. Tra questi, mi è stato donato anche un Ojo de Dios, uno strumento rituale protettivo per chi prega, simbolo magico e antico della loro cultura. Gli Huichol lo chiamano Sikuli, che significa il potere di vedere e comprendere ciò che è sconosciuto.

Without any doubt, one of the things I enjoy the most with @moktaani is to discover new artisans, and learn about their lives and amazing craft. But what really makes me super happy on top of that, is to be able to establish a fair partnership with them in order to bring their craft to you through beautiful products full of color and texture. Products usually made with attention to detail, much love and hope for a better life.
👉🏼I am so happy to have met David Salazar during my trip to the Yucatá Peninsula 🇲🇽 last summer. David with her wife and extended family have been weaving jipi japa palm hats and other palm goods since they were little in their hometown of Becal, Campeche. They are the creators of the colorful palm fans you’ll see as part of our small summer collection that is still being crafted in 🇲🇽 and Colombia, and that will be arriving next month in Lugano. Stay tuned!!!🌴🌈
