Nursery is coming along. Still need curtains, mirrors and wall decor (on the way!)… plus his baby name sign for over the crib. Everything about this experience has been fun and joyful as we prepare for parenthood.

We got a glimpse of those northern lights last night. I have been running from one thing to the next for what feels like 2 decades. Chasing new places, new experiences, new everything. The greatest experiences I’ve had thus far are the ones I’ve slowed down to be most present in. To stop and stare at how awe inspiring the night sky is, to see nature in all that it gives us, to see people and relationships as deep bonds and not by chance connections. Life is so different lately and it’s such an incredible place to be - still, calm, and present.

For every time I’ve felt frustrated, overwhelmed or concerned about dentistry and my place in it, the universe sends me someone who reminds me why I am here and why I am pushing for the changes I whole heartedly believe in.

When I hit a breaking point, Thomas Passalacqua showed up as that shining light. I saw a post about his coaching program and I sent him a DM, something I will never ever forget. It was the spring board (think pool diving board with extra springs) to launch me into the greatest dive I’ve ever done so far in my life - the dive into myself.

This is not just a testimonial, it’s my real life. And I’m going to keep sharing more with this community as the months and years go on, because I’m no longer afraid to say it, to show up, to be myself despite hearing at times in my career that I’m too nice, too fast, too caring, too direct, not direct enough, not metrics driven, too metrics driven - confused? lol, I was too.

Because it truly doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. In creating your life it only matters what you think and if you’re following your own values. That’s living authentically. And thanks to my coach and friend, I’m on the path I want to be on.

You have to do it scared, you have to do it when it’s hard, you have to do it when it’s inconvenient, you have to do it when you think you can’t.

Every post ever posted about going for it - spot on. Because while you’re planning, someone else is doing it with a half assed beginning, but they’re learning as they go. And while you’re perfecting your plan, they’re already investing in themselves and letting the plan evolve.

The best decision I ever made was investing in myself and owning my future. The longer I sit in this mindset, the more opportunities keep popping up. It’s quite incredible.

I have immense gratitude for the past - it’s given me the tools I need to work hard in the present and the courage to create for the future.

To break the mold, to create something new, to build. The way I want to. With the people I want in my corner.

A giant heartfelt “thank you” to all those on my journey who have offered words of encouragement and have pushed me to think beyond what I previously thought was possible. Some crossed paths with me for only a moment, but your impact was great. The best part? There are so many of you and you’ve truly filled my cup. 🫶🏻
