2026 run rabbit run 🏃‍♀️🐇

yesterday was so surreal. about 15 minutes into the race, there was a louuud thunder clap and the downpour started. it rained, rained, hailed and rained some more over 14 hours in the steamboat mountains. a year and a half out from breaking my tibfib, and my legs felt strong, and I was able to stay on top of my fueling. by mile 35, the only bit of sun we got for the day was warm and making me dizzy. I sat on a log and doubted if I was going to be able to finish. but there was only one way down and there was still plenty of time. made my way back through long lake and stayed a little again at the fire at mt. werner to warm up the hands and then cruised the 6 miles downhill, in the dark and more rain.

thank you thank you to everyone I trained and ran with over the summer. for everyone’s supportive texts and encouragement when doubt crept in. to my crew at the finish line, you all are the best. and to Ashton-forever thankful for your patience of my early mornings, late runs after 12 hour shifts..for making me food when I was hungry, and making me eat even when I wasn’t. thank you for helping me change out of wet socks at dumont, and for giving me otter to run across the finish line with. 🦦💕

yesterday was a day for the memory books. it was a mental game, a day of pulling momentum and grit from everyone else that towed the line. so proud of everyone that went out and gave it their all, despite the wild conditions ⛈️. ultra running is a bug and despite the condition of my body today, 🫠 I’ll be back. @runrabbitrun100 by @mollscorless

so there’s a hole where nothing grows. a before mick died and an after he died. my family and i are irrevocably changed from my brothers death. the day we found out was a nightmare, and one week still did not make it real. one year and the hole was still there.

today it’s been five years without him on this side of earth, but the hole is still there. life feels unbalanced, so i’ll keep looking for four leaf covers and I will talk to the stars. I will sit and wonder how this became my life-my families life. laughing and crying, hoping and wishing it were different. nothing will grow. by @mollscorless

so lucky to be back out there! one year ago today I broke my leg. the snow has been super crummy this year so I opted to have the 5 screws taken out of my leg and running already feels a lot more comfortable.
Upcoming goals: finish them all! 🚴🏼‍♀️ Desert Gravel 50 miles, 🚴🏼‍♀️SBT GRVL 108 miles, some local running races, 🏃‍♀️ CDT 50k, 🏃‍♀️Run Rabbit Run 50 mile by @mollscorless

skiing. playing with otter. skinning with jo and claire. an adventure on buffalo pass. otter sunbathing. a broken leg. the lake with the high school crew. holding your best friends wedding dress while she pees. otter swimming in the river. your parents gingko tree. a hut trip to close out the year, cinnamon rolls in the sunlight, and lots of smiles. feeling so grateful to have so many amazing people in my life. 2026 let’s see what ya got 🌟 by @mollscorless
