Y’mei Chayai 🌀

Last week while packing for @melachauvracha I found my way to this joyful tune for A’chat Sha’alti, the psalm of the season. The next day on Rosh Chodesh Elul I got to share it around the fire 🔥 with @joshuahblaine and @anatmuse and so many other beloveds kicking off Elul season under the stars 🌒✨

It’s a treat to share it here, and to prepare to share it at the next Shiru Shabbat at @cbinorthampton with @louispolisson, Meg Wobus, and Charley Beller. May we sing ourselves in to this season with joy! 💖

⏳The Omer offers a holy and sweet structure for creative practice, reflection, and spiritual nourishment. Join Molly Bajgot and Aly Halpert during the seven week period between Passover and Shavuot, for a weekly practice of singing, exploring the sephira* of the week, and connecting these themes to our own lives.

🌀We’ll get in touch with the creative spark of the Divine in ourselves by making time for creation – journaling, writing songs, doodling, making art, dancing, etc. – with the support of online community. Come to all seven sessions as part of an Omer practice, or join when you can! Link bio to register!

Jewish Voices Rising: A Benefit Concert in Support of Gaza’s Children
Sunday, March 8th, 7-9pm | Newton, MA

Join us for an evening of song with Molly Bajgot, Marni Loffman, Batya Levine, and Adah Hetko and Levyosn. Let us come together to raise our communal voice for ongoing healing and transformation in Gaza.

Gaza Children Village was created by Palestinian-American Dr. David Hasan in April 2025 in response to the devastation of Gaza, and in particular the impact on tens of thousands of orphaned children. Gaza Children Village provides education, nutrition, healthcare, and psychosocial support for orphaned and vulnerable children across Gaza.

Wow 🤩 I cannot wait for this! This past summer I became the Interim Cantorial Soloist at Kerem Shalom in Concord, MA. One of the perks (and joys) of the job is getting to coordinate a concert with beloved local musicians and friends to usher in the week of Shabbat Shira. I’m so excited to bring @anatmuse @basbaslev @richiebarshay and @yoniavibattat together for this evening of music and to build our collective setlist. Every Life, A Universe:

A song born in the wake of Awdeh Hathaleen’s death – a life that touched so many so deeply, and was taken far too soon.

A simple, devastating truth: every life is a world – a child, a sibling, a cousin, an aunty; a mother, a father, a tante. A constellation of memories and relationships.

Every loss is vast and indescribable, reshaping the contours of the world in ways we will never fully know. Each loss, a universe.

If we lived from that truth, war would be unthinkable. Sanctioned violence – unimaginable.

May we continue to pray towards, sing to, dream of, and organize for that reality: in Palestine, in Israel, on Turtle Island, for all people, everywhere.

🌒 Saturdays new moon marks the beginning of the month of Av, a period of mourning in the Jewish calendar. On the 15th of the month, the holiday of Tu B’Av offers us a different energy - a celebration of love and the start of the grape harvest - softening our hearts during this stretch of grief 🤲

Come gather in the heat of summer to celebrate and cultivate the powerful force that is love in all forms - platonic, romantic, self, community, and more. Our love can overturn empires ❤️‍🩹
