Sometimes a photo captures all the feelings. This photo will be made into posters proudly displayed at Ole Miss for years. And LSU may defeat Ole Miss next year. It won’t matter because Ole Miss beat them on the night it mattered. You know what they say about Karma.

It all started in December with a CT of my shoulder. BTW. Two nodules on the thyroid. It was like a footnote at the bottom of the report. I immediately sent a message to my Primary Care Physician regarding the report. Ultrasound. No definitive diagnosis. Ultrasound #2. No definitive diagnosis. Biopsy. Lab #1 reports one is benign and the other is 50/50. Lab #2 same diagnosis. Thyroid surgeon recommends thyroidectomy. Surgery 03/05. Nodule was a very rare form of cancer. Noninvasive.

Recovery has gone well. I had one bump in the road and was admitted to the hospital via the ER. Released the next day. That darn thyroid is a tricky little organ! I am grateful to have access to excellent medical professionals. The orthopedic surgery is going to have to wait awhile. It is no longer a priority to me.

One of the Maye brothers is going to play in the Super Bowl. Drake Maye is the youngest of four brothers. Athletic family. Drake played football at Carolina and is from a small town in NC. I have never pulled for the Patriots. That changes tonight. The youngest Maye brother is playing in the Super Bowl.
