16 years in the driver’s seat. 🏁 From little wheels, scooters and whatever moves to the real deal, she’s always been ready to take on the world. Fearless, fiercely independent, and always curious about what’s around the next corner.

Cheers to you, sweet girl. Keep chasing adventure, trusting your own wheels, and taking the road less traveled. Your best adventures are still ahead.

Happy Sweet 1️⃣6️⃣, Jemma! We love you. ♥️🌎💨 by @mollyjolamb

“Mom, I can’t even tell you how much I love school softball. I love all my coaches,” Jindy said me to a few weeks before season ended on a random walk.

The season didn’t end exactly how the team had hoped, but maybe that’s part of what makes sports so special. There are things we can’t control, moments we wish were different, and lessons that only come from having to keep showing up.

And then there’s the privilege of getting another day to work.

Another day to get better.
Another opportunity to earn it.
Another chance to learn from coaches who believe in you.
Another season to chase.

I hope Jindy never loses that perspective—or that love for the game no matter her role, position or playing time.

Because getting to keep working toward the player and person you want to become is a pretty incredible privilege.

End of season. But definitely not the end of the work.

And this season also gave Jindy something pretty special—getting to experience a regional championship and sectional game with her teammates, just like her sister Jemma did in 7th grade.

Proud of you, Jindy. Your words are what we will remember most. 🥎♥️

Up next, fall ball. Let’s go HC 🖤🧡 by @mollyjolamb

Fall football & baseball are in full swing. We’ve enjoyed watching Jhett’s growth and development in both!

Jhett has taken a few HBPs, learned all about his dad yelling “don’t rub it” and gradually becoming that hitter he knows he can be. Swing the bat! He’s also been fortunate to toss some innings for his team. Last Saturday, he allowed zero-runs, striking out two and walking three. You see, though, the resilience came after loading the bases with walks. Coach Ryan met up with him at the mound, looked at him and said “you see that batter. He’s got pink underwear on.” I had no idea at the time what he said to him and just happened to capture Jhett’s cheeky reaction and smile. Smart Coach, that was all he needed to break the ice and get the job done. ⚾️♥️

Then earlier last Saturday, Coach Moody got our attention, “get your cameras out. The play of day is coming.” That was Jhett QB to Aspey💪🏻! Those two have been great teammates and were all giggles last night after practice. Warmed my heart. 🏈🤍

Very thankful for his coaches who care, believe and focus on development 👏🏻👏🏻❣️ by @mollyjolamb

4️⃣6️⃣ 🥳💪🏻❣️Thank you friends and family for all my lovely birthday messages this past weekend and week! I loved hearing from everyone and am always blown away by everyone’s thoughtfulness. When I described my birthday experience as an “ordinary and best day of sports”, my MIL said “a good friend spells ordinary ‘awedinary’” and I said “Oh I love that, and I am absolutely stealing it.” I loved all the quality time with all my favs. Perhaps the only thing extraordinary was my beautiful flowers (TY @ldarwent and @coyoteacreshomestead). Onward, ‘awedinary’, bring on this next year ♥️… by @mollyjolamb

On Sunday night, I just happened to be walking past the kids’ bathroom to put something in Jindy’s room, and I immediately paused. Jindy was belting from the shower “…what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger…” I stood there for a few minutes listening and smiling. Her words told me all I need to know about how well she will do in this world. She is quietly confident, full of courage, and gentle-hearted. Her grace and poise are beautiful and elegant. Her sweet demeanor and heart shine. She met new friends, learned, grew as a young lady, and gained an amazing life experience. She was mostly proud of her introduction and told me she’d do it again. Jindy Jo used her voice and presence to show her inner confidence, authenticity, kindness and light. She was uniquely and unquestionably Jindy. And most importantly, she was happy for her friends who won and cheered loudly. “Nothing can dim the light which shines from within.” - Maya Angelou

Thank you to so many who helped her prepare (Claire; Kate at MyFormals) and be beautiful (Brittany)! Shouting our huge appreciation for friends who are family supporting her and always cheering her on, especially to Reese, Joss, Reagan, Autumn, Kelli, Abbi for being there for her. Thanks to others for cheering from afar and supporting her in People’s Choice (Amy). She scootered the neighborhood selling raffles (thank you neighbors!). Another thanks to her Grandpa and Grandma for sponsoring, and my sister and Lake for helping with Jem at Nebraska’s prospect camp. Grateful for IFP, director, staff and volunteers for a meaningful and enriching experience for Jindy.

We are proud of you, Jindy, and love you more 🩷🫶🏻 Be proud, trust yourself and stay true to you. by @mollyjolamb

Me: Jindy, I noticed that the Illinois Festival Pageant may work for your schedule this year. I know you’ve been wanting to participate in a pageant.
Jindy: Really?
Me: Yes. You will be the youngest in the Jr. Miss age group 12-15 years old though.
Jindy: I believe in myself.
Me: And we all do too.
Her answer made ours easy. Jindy will be in Decatur this weekend. Saturday is the interview portion and rehearsal while Sunday is the onstage question and formal gown portion. Cheer her on from afar! You can also vote in People’s Choice, and she still has cash raffles available ($5/ticket). 👑🩷🫶🏻 by @mollyjolamb
