After a late night ER visit for some crazy abdominal pain(turns out I’ve got an ulcer- I guess Fonzie will be sharing some of his gastro guard 😅), we had a pretty good day! I’m very happy with our test and a clear showjumping round. With the amount of sleep I got last night, I can’t complain! Truly I’m still in shock from not only being able to compete at the young rider championships, but also come home with ribbons not only as an individual but as a team. If you had told me that I would have this opportunity this time last year, I would have said that it was a funny joke. Even though I’ve already made a YRC post, I had to make another one for all of the thank yous.
Thank you to @jo_morse and @ashlandequestrian for being the most amazing leaders and organizers area three could have asked for and for giving Fonzie and me this opportunity.
Thank you @willowsoutheventing for flying all the way to Maryland to support and coach me. None of this would have happened without having a barn and coach that believed in me.
Thank you to my team and fellow area three riders, your support and kindness through this daunting but exciting show meant the world. @area3_youngriders
Thank you to my parents for always being there for me through the good rides and the bad ones. @marybethmclaughlin.sothebys
