Took my daughter to see Bruno Mars and we left with a memory we’ll both carry for the rest of our lives. 🥹

She wasn’t even supposed to be there. I only had tickets for my two boys, because when the presale happened she didn’t know who he was. Then “The Romantic” album came out, and she’s played him on Spotify every single day since, playing his new and classic songs (I’m convinced she’s half the reason he’s on top of Spotify 😂).

My heart was torn leaving her behind that first concert night, so I made sure she got her turn and she got to see him too! Lucky me, I got to see him twice. 😉

And her face the moment she saw him for the first time? Worth every second. And this moment, when he waved at us... PRICELESS 🥰

What a night. ♥️

Went to watch the movie “Forgotten Island” with my kiddos, and what a nostalgic experience it was. ❤️

This movie is the first animated Filipino film centered around friendship, Filipino culture, and mythology. Watching it brought me right back to my childhood.

I came to Canada in my teenage years, but I spent most of my early childhood in the Philippines. I remember growing up hearing stories about the manananggal, tiyanak, dwendes, kapre, and aswang. My cousins, siblings and I were always so scared whenever we watched these stories on TV or heard them from other people. 🤣👻

Meanwhile, my kiddos were all born here in Canada, so they grew up completely unfamiliar with these Filipino myths and legends. It was such a special feeling being able to share a little piece of my childhood and Filipino culture with them.

“Forgotten Island” gave me that warm, nostalgic feeling of home — reminding me of the stories, traditions, family, and friendships that shaped my childhood. 🇵🇭❤️

Definitely a movie worth watching, especially for Filipino families raising their kids away from the Philippines. It’s a beautiful way to introduce the next generation to a little piece of where we came from. 🥰🇵🇭

On a side note, can we bring Timeplay back? 😂@cineplex love playing movie trivia questions with people in the theatre and winning prizes 👌🏼

$Bringing back Throwback Thursdays… 📸 First up: the good ol’ Instagram. Reminiscing about the days when posting wasn’t so complicated. When people simply shared their lives, genuinely liked and engaged with each other, and weren’t constantly trying to outdo one another. A time when everyone had their own life, their own personality, and their own little corner of the internet. Before algorithms decided what showed up on your feed, what got seen, and what got buried. Back when Instagram felt a little more… personal\. Just people sharing moments, connecting, and enjoying each other’s lives.🤍 Ahhh, the good old days. 🥹📱 Do you miss the old Instagram too? What do you miss most about it? #throwbackthursdays #oldinstagram #nostalgia #simplertimes #TBT by @momiselfcare$

POV: you finally have nowhere to be… 🤍

As busy as life gets, one of my goals as a mom and as a family is to have at least one slow morning a week.

No alarm. No rush. Just this.

Nothing planned. Nowhere to be.Just being here, in the comfort of our home, together.

A little time to reset the mind, recharge the body, and slow down the pace of life. 🌿

Because sometimes, the best moments are the ones where we don’t have to be anywhere.

What does your ideal slow morning look like?

I’ve been knocked down, counted out, and written off. Every time, I rose. Not because it was easy, but because I refused to stay down.

Tonight the fire is on the outside. But it’s been burning in me all along.

I’m not the girl who survived the flames. I’m the force that came out of them.

Unapologetically powerful. Unstoppable by design. Just getting started 💪🏼
