I know y’all are wondering what happened to our other kid. She’s still around, She just turned 13 and doesn’t hang with us anymore. Or let us take pictures…. It’s fine. She’ll come back around.

Last year, Wylie couldn’t join her school’s Dragon Dash.
This year… she walked the entire lap around the school with her Pacer and a big smile
One small change made the whole event inclusive, and it became the farthest Wylie has ever walked! 👏 Let’s hear it for Wylie and every child taking steps toward inclusion! 💚

IT’s Dragon Dash time!!! 🐉

We would love your help raising money for our school’s fundraiser. Last year, so many of you donated, making Wylie the top fundraiser even though she couldn’t even participate because our playground and track are not accessible. I’m excited to say that we were able to get the course changed this year to be more inclusive and she will be able to participate!!! 🙌🏻

It seems the older we get, we forget how to look at the world through a child’s eye’s. Some people grow up being scared of what they don’t know or don’t understand.

Watching these girls interact with Wylie at the playground with genuine curiosity is how we lessen the fear and teach empathy. Moments like these are possible when we thoughtfully design schools, playgrounds and public spaces for all and not for some.

Inclusion isn’t just about being invited to the party, it’s being asked to dance.

Who made the swan, and the black bear?
Who made the grasshopper?
This grasshopper, I mean—
the one who has flung herself out of the grass,
the one who is eating sugar out of my hand,
who is moving her jaws back and forth instead of up and down—
who is gazing around with her enormous and complicated eyes.
Now she lifts her pale forearms and thoroughly washes her face.
