You’re not a bad parent just because you can’t go to EVERYTHING!

I am telling myself this and telling you too! Yes their school is close, but some of this stuff is just TOO MUCH.

Happy Mother’s Day from Mommates 💛

To the moms doing pickups and drop-offs.
The moms building businesses during nap time.
The moms carrying it all quietly.
The moms raising babies with a partner, without a partner, with a village, or still searching for one.

We see you.

Mommates was built because motherhood was never meant to be done alone.

Day 66

I paid off American Express today… and got emotional.

Not because it was just a payment. Because of everything it took to make that payment.

The commuting.
The sacrifices.
Doing this alone.
Trying to be a good mom while carrying pressure every single day.

That card had been in a hardship program. I didn’t think it would be gone this soon.

But today it is.

I just paid $5,074.76 to wipe it out.
That brings my total debt paid off to $42,613.29.

That’s another $400/month gone.
With Wells Fargo already gone, that’s $1,000/month freed up.

And I’m not spending it.
I’m snowballing it into the next debt.

I’m tired. I’m proud. I’m grateful.

And I’m going to keep going until there’s no more consumer debt. by @ericagmartin

Sundays are my reset day.

While my son is at basketball training… I’m in the gym.

Investing in him.

He asked for this. So I made the deposit.

$4K/month in childcare… alone is a quick way to get yourself into $164,000 in debt.

That’s not sustainable.
That’s not how this was supposed to work.

I wrote something this morning that I’ve been feeling for a long time but hadn’t put into words.

The quiet weekends when my kids aren’t home.

Sharing time with your children after divorce is one of the hardest parts no one really prepares you for.

I wrote about it honestly on Substack today.
