🚨 TWO WEEKS POST-HYSTERECTOMY 🚨 At her two week follow up, the doctor tells her that her uterus was DOUBLE the normal size. DOUBLЕ!!! 😳 Ladies, PLEASE be vocal about your pain, irregular cycles, and when you know something isn’t right. Ask questions. Advocate for yourself. Request the tests you need to get answers. You know your body. Don’t let your concerns go unheard. ❤️ Have you ever felt like you had to fight to get answers about your own health? #womenshealthtruth #hysterctomy #momsgonemadspillingthetea by @momsgonemadspillingthetea
Painkillers after a hysterectomy? They say they’re a necessity… and apparently, we missed that memo. 😂 We would rather tough it out because apparently we’ve decided suffering is a personality trait. 🤣 Ladies, be honest… are you taking the pain meds or trying to win an award for being the toughest woman alive? 👀😂 #hysterectomyrecovery #momsgonemadspillingthetea by @momsgonemadspillingthetea
Apparently no one tells you that after a hysterectomy, your internal organs can literally fall out if you do too much…okay maybe we are being dramatic but organ prolapse is VERY real and you don’t want it to happen!😳 And yes…you can hemorrhage if you lift something you shouldn’t. Which means you’re basically told: DO NOTHING. For weeks. No lifting. No heavy housework. No working out. No carrying things. No “I’ll just quickly do this one thing.” And let’s be real… WE ARE MOMS. 😂 Doing absolutely nothing for weeks is basically an impossible assignment. But seriously ladies…those restrictions are there for a reason. Your body needs time to heal, and apparently being a mom does not come with an automatic “pause life” button. ✨ So here we are…learning the hard way that sometimes doing nothing is actually doing something. ❤️ by @momsgonemadspillingthetea
👟 Down the rabbit hole we go … and straight into these ADORABLE sneakers! 👟 🐰 These Alice in Wonderland-inspired kicks, debuting in January, are absolutely PERFECT for our next race! 🏃🏻‍♀️‍➡️ Speaking of races … Heather is gearing up for the Food & Wine 5K this weekend! She hasn’t been cleared to run just yet, so she’ll be rocking a very fast walk instead! 💪🏻 Drop some 🙌🏻👏🏻❤️ in the comments and help us CHEER HER ON! #rundisney #momsgonemadspillingthetea @rundisney @brooksrunning #foodandwine5k by @momsgonemadspillingthetea
🛍️ The merch is AMAZING in Magic Kingdom right now! 🛍️ The soft colors, the themes, the bags & bows … #disneymerch #momsgonemadspillingthetea #aliceinwonderlandmerch by @momsgonemadspillingthetea
We don’t know exactly when we became middle-aged… and Kyla STILL disagrees. 😂 HOWEVER, there is one major perk… We can buy adjustable beds like old people and honestly… IT IS GLORIOUS. 🙌🏻😂 And Heather? Many weeks post-op and still ZERO pain. 👏🏻 Just pressure. Sounds like a popular Disney song right? And let’s be real… we’re pretty sure that pressure is just her organs trying to figure out where the heck they’re supposed to go now that the uterus has officially left the building. 🤣 Nobody prepares you for the weird stuff that comes with surgery… so here we are, talking about it. Because apparently this is our life now. 😂 Anyone else discover the glory of an adjustable bed WAY earlier than they expected? by @momsgonemadspillingthetea
They pulled our organs OUT THROUGH OUR BELLY BUTTON. 😳 Like…excuse me?! WHAT?! And we have questions. 🤨 Why are women being sent HOME THE SAME DAY after a hysterectomy?! We just had organs removed, we’re bleeding, we’re sore, and apparently the answer is…“Okay, bye! See you later!” 😂 And then there’s the whole cuff/halo/net/whatever-you-want-to-call-it situation that’s left behind to hold everything in place after the uterus is gone.😳 Because ladies… STITCHES. That’s what’s holding everything together.🤯 And then they tell you NO LIFTING for 12 weeks. TWELVE. WEEKS. 😳 The more we learn about what actually happens during a hysterectomy, the more we’re like… WHY DID NOBODY TELL US THIS?! So we’re talking about it! Because if we have questions, we know some of you probably do too. ❤️ by @momsgonemadspillingthetea
🍰 What is first on our agenda for Saturday night?! Visiting The Cake Bake Shop on Disney’s Boardwalk for dinner! ✨ EVERYONE comes here for the twinkle lights, the magic, the pixie dusted cake, Gwendolyn’s cosmo 👌🏻… but what does Heather come here to order? 🥗 She comes for the … salad. The crab salad. Apparently, they have the BEST SALAD EVER. 😂 Not the pretty cosmos or the magic fairy lights, but the lettuce. 🥬😂 Wait until we tell you about the Diamond Horseshoe … #momsgonemadspillingthetea #disneyeats #cakebake by @momsgonemadspillingthetea
Kyla had her tubes removed as a preventative measure because she wants to be around for her girls for as long as possible. ❤️ But let’s talk about her BIGGEST fear going into surgery… waking up in the middle of it. 😳😬 Because apparently, being a mom means worrying about everyone else 24/7, and then when it’s your turn to be the patient, your brain decides to come up with 47 new things to panic about. 🤣 Ladies, what’s YOUR biggest fear when it comes to surgery? 👀👇 by @momsgonemadspillingthetea
