a few weeks ago when accidentally hiked 10+ miles through Los Dinamos..

(gonna keep it a bean and say heavy on the accidental, lol) iykyk the altitude in cdmx is no joke… being green here & sending it to the highest mountain cliffs we could find and then having to climb our way out in the pouring rain while the sun was dipping and so were the temps, was definitely an ✨amateur✨ choice.. but i do recommend (with snacks and a map) :~) by @mon_.mar

UPDATED DATE: Sept 2 (Labor Day) <3

CALLING ALL RIIS BEACH LOVERS🪡💧🫂

🩵come and get your care🩵 and/or support the mission!! FREE CARE @ RIIS BEACH is apart of a bigger mission to ensure the People’s Beach remains just that — THE PEOPLES BEACH ! one that will continue to live on in the decades long legacy of queer/trans/bipoc folks accessing this sacred space seeking liberation and healing.

as the surrounding buildings get demolished and developers close in, the state threatens to push us out of riis and with it erase the histories of our queer ancestors and we say fuck that. we say fuck a hotel. we say fuck your profits and your poisoning of our waters. we say fuck a playground zoning that would be used to criminalize and erase queer bodies from these shores. we say it is not enough to only know what we must tear down, but we must know what new worlds we are building in it’s absence.

with that being said — we are building a trans/queer healthcare facility & wellness center on riis beach lead by @glits_inc and that’s that ! we can continue to look back in remorse at what we’ve allowed the state to rob us of or we can actualize our collective futures built in care.

consent based photos & testimonies of this care event will be used in an exhibition that will display a glimpse of what this possible future can and will look like. pull up, lend a hand, get loved on by @liberation.clinic along with the many others, say thank you to @nattapilla for their tremendous efforts in this, and most importantly, come freedom dream in the sand with us ~

*SUPPLY REQUEST*
we are still in need of shade structures and beach chairs to borrow!! as well as money contributions for food.

msg me for me details or if you can support. or venmo @ nica333 with “riis” if you are an angel baby who believes in this work!

LONG LIVE RIIS, see you sunday
