Another Saturday, another opportunity to attend somebody’s wedding and eat like you contributed to the planning.🌚

If you’re going to a Nigerian wedding today, this is for you.

Don’t say I did nothing for you.

This is by no means a conclusive list. I can’t shake off the fact that I’m missing somethings😂

BTW, there are some obsessions I simply cannot afford to post on the internet.

Anyway, which can you relate to?

I’m a filmmaker! 🥹

On Monday, Lagos marked the launch of the Lagos Greenhouse Gas Registry. It was a significant moment for climate action in our state, but for me, it was so much more.

One of the first items on the programme was the screening of a 15-minute documentary telling the story behind the Registry. A documentary whose script I wrote, narrated, and served as the Creative Director for.

Sitting in that room, hearing my own words fill the space was everything. I was smiling from ear to ear, resisting the urge to tap the girl beside me and say, “That’s me. That’s my voice. My team made this.”

I couldn’t, of course. So I just kept recording clips like I hadn’t already watched that documentary an unhealthy number of times. 😂

From filming on the streets and interviewing the people whose voices mattered most, to refining every scene with the team until it all came together, this project was a labour of care, collaboration, and purpose.

Storytelling has always been more than writing to me. It’s taking complex ideas and making them human. It’s finding the heart of a story and helping other people feel it too.

Grateful to TPHG Technologies and @lasepaofficial for trusting me with this story, and proud that @moxieandmo brought the production to life alongside an incredible team CC @oguguahdenzel @micheal.d.ajayi @theonly_chiefpriest @kike_abiola

And honestly? It turned out to be the best birthday gift. 🥹🤍

“If we’re not supposed to dance, then why all this music?”

Before 2020, I used to suffer from chronic birthday blues. As my birthdays approached, I’d be caught up in existential anguish.

Then I met @euluiscastro, @eijonass, and @aalexandraborges , and somehow, all of that changed.

Now, every birthday is a call to celebrate the simple miracle of being alive. And oh, what a time to be alive.

What are my plans for this new age, you ask? Simple: to keep dancing and living my best life.

Cheers to me and my God.

Because why do we get our best ideas after midnight?😩

BTW the shades aren’t a fashion statement. They’re just hiding the evidence💀
