I want to share a small bit of this act as it is. No edits.

To hear the gorgeous voice of @monahallab whom I had the honor to share the stage with. It was a special performance, not only because of it being live music which hits differently to both performers and audience & the synergy we felt, but also the story behind the song. I will share about it in another post.

This year, we’re kicking off #RMF05 with the premiere of Black Mouse: Deconstructed, a co-production by @rummantripoli and @oobconcept that reimagines Ahmad Naboulsi’s award-winning short film as an immersive live audiovisual performance.

By weaving together music, voice, light, and fragments of memory, the project seeks to briefly reactivate the Tripoli International Fair: a monumental site shaped by history, absence, and political neglect. Rather than relying on a conventional score, soprano @monahallab, producer @joy_moughanni, and scenographer @firaselhallak expand the film's narrative into a live dialogue with the space itself. It’s an invitation to collectively question what public space can be, who has the right to occupy it, and whether art can carve out a temporary space for reclamation.

⁨ منفتتح المهرجان السنة بعرض « فار أسود: تفكيك » وهو مشروع جديد من إنتاج رمّان وأووب كونسبت.

بهالمشروع بيحوّل المخرج الطرابلسي أحمد النابلسي فيلمه القصير « فار أسود » من الشاشة لفضاء الأداء الحيّ، بتجربة سمعية بصرية بتتداخل فيها الموسيقى والصوت والإضاءة والذاكرة، بمحاولة لإعادة إحياء معرض طرابلس الدولي اللي غيّبه التاريخ والتهميش السياسي.

بالتعاون مع السوبرانو اللبنانية منى حلّاب والمنتج الموسيقي جوي مغني والسينوغراف فراس الحلاق، بيعيد المشروع توسيع سردية الفيلم وبيحوّل العرض لفرصة لإعادة النظر بالطريقة اللي منختبر فيها المساحات العامة ومنتشاركها ومنتخيّلها، وبيطرح سؤال حول مين بيملك الحقّ بامتلاك الفضاء العام، وما إذا كان الفنّ قادر على استعادته بشكل مؤقت.

“Our Families Between the Lines” marks ATHR’s first fashion show, a collection born from stories shared, emotions uncovered, and personal experiences transformed into wearable narratives.

More than a runway, this was a space for listening.
For remembering.
For healing.

Each piece carries a story, a memory, a feeling, a moment that once lived between the lines and found a new form through fashion.

This film captures not only the final show, but the people behind it: the hands, hearts, and talents that brought these stories to life.

When this iconic theatre in Beirut became a space for unresolved memory.

Le Grand Théâtre des Mille et Une Nuits, once an esteemed performance venue in the centre of Beirut, hosted Shabah El Rih in 2020. Its ruins were treated not as a backdrop but as a living archive of the country’s layered histories of loss, neglect, and endurance, exposing a condition that remains unresolved.

Mona Hallab’s voice functions as a spectral carrier of memory, while the cinematography reinforces instability and incompleteness.

It was heartwarming to receive the “Cultural Excellence Award”, in my hometown Tripoli, and on the same stage where I had my very first Opera concert, at the @safadiculturalfoundation.
