Sachindranath Jha’s art practice draws deeply from the cultural and spiritual life of Bihar, particularly the Ganga, its rituals, festivals and everyday landscapes.

His vibrant works combine vivid colours with expressive forms, exploring themes of devotion, mythology, nature and social life. Beginning as a painter, Jha later expanded into sculpture, bringing the same energetic colour palette and cultural imagery into three-dimensional forms.

Jamini Roy was one of India’s most influential modern artists, known for developing a distinctive visual language rooted in Bengal’s folk traditions. Drawing inspiration from Kalighat painting and traditional pat art, he transformed familiar Indian subjects into bold, simplified forms with strong contours, earthy colours and an unmistakable folk aesthetic.

Nishant Dange is known for his evocative figurative works that merge charcoal with touches of vibrant colour, creating an atmospheric dialogue between realism, emotion and symbolism.

His distinctive compositions often explore the feminine form through closed eyes, delicate floral elements and dramatic charcoal textures, giving his works a quiet, dreamlike quality.
