There’s something about hosting that feels like home to me ❤️Hospitality is so deeply ingrained in Persian culture. Even though I didn’t grow up doing every tradition, it’s in our DNA as Persians to be gracious… to make people feel welcome, comfortable, and special. When I invite someone into our home, I want them to instantly feel like a guest of honor. And when I host dinner parties, I pay attention to it all: the lighting, the tone of music, the colors, the menu. Every detail is thought out (not to impress, more to nurture).Cohosting this one with one of my dear (Persian!) friends made it all the more special. I listened to your feedback… I filmed a full recipe video with @cheffinwithzach for one of these dishes! Will post it soon, but meanwhile, here’s the process of meticulously testing and tasting each dish before it’s served. I love food, I love making clean dishes taste incredible and clay, and i’m fascinated with how the little nuances like par boiling the sweet potato before pan frying it make a real difference in taste and texture(this taste test was for TONIGHT’s clean shabbat dinner i’m cohosting with a friend who’s visiting from LA! it was a slow holiday weekend filled with lots of cooking and clean carbs 🫶🏼(pure organic foods - sweet potatoes, purple potatoes, soaked and pressure cooked or long boiled beans, turnips, parsnips, slow fermented sourdough, soaked and pressured cooked grains, daikon, squash…. shall i go on?)but i’m also very aware of maintaining balanced blood sugar. i’m not as big of a pasta person myself, but when i do eat pasta or a heavier meal a really fun tip is to start with beans to actually change how your body will react to the carbs!video explains in detail - leave any thoughts below! #monascleandinners by @monavaynerchuk

This video shares one of my biggest passions on this topic …Clean eating can be SO indulgent and is by no means low calorie (unless you want it to be). There is so much range with very little “restriction” - the only restriction is CHEMICALS, not calories. All whole foods are a go (rice, grains, all vegetables, all fruit, all kinds of potatoes, and bread when it’s made clean 🙂).If you want some clean bread recipes leave a 🥖! #monascleandinners by @monavaynerchuk

My healthy persian tea ritual shared below:Black tea is engrained in my soul. It reminds me of my family, of Iran, and is so soothing for me (also - Gary loves it as much as I do, there are so many similarities between Persians and Russians! ❤️). But anyway, since giving up caffeine a few years ago and making a true effort to avoid toxins where I can, I’ve found ways to make sure it healthier. 1: ORGANIC DECAF BLACK TEA: *Loose leaf: my favorite brand is @arborteas, they do something called a “CO2” method which is a non-chemical way of decaffeinating tea (similar to Swiss water method with coffee)*Tea Bags: I use @clipperteas, they are organic CO2 decaf as well, and the tea bag is plastic-free. Loose leaf is always best but the reality is many times I end up using a tea bag, but only this brand!2: ORGANIC DATESDates are so incredible, I love ‘khidri’ as well as a really good juicy medjool date (I like the brand @monellafood). They do have sugar, yes, but the glycemic index is quite low (how quickly it spikes your blood sugar) 3: TEA POTI like to use 100% stainless steel or glass. I avoid ceramic unless I really do the homework on the brand and it’s a fully clean ceramic (like one of my fav brands ever @xtrema_cookware) - it’s a lot of research which is great if you want to do it, but stainless steel and glass are safe options *HEALTH BENEFITS:I know green tea usually steals the show, but black tea still has many health benefits especially when it’s clean and organic, great for cholesterol and antioxidant benefits By the way, dont let anyone (aka Persian family) tell you decaf tea ‘isn’t the same’ LOL… my family always thinks its not going to taste the same, but when I dont tell them I’m serving decaf they dont notice the difference AT all (same with decaf coffee).If this was helpful or inspiring leave a ❤️ by @monavaynerchuk

today’s look + today’s thoughts…thoughts: i’ve been noticing how much time it takes for meditation to keep causing subtle shifts in my life. Just when i think I’ve already experienced all of the benefits, I get delighted with new things. Most recently: the comfort (and joy) of eating in silence, with no stimulation. Just to clarify - I think the best way to enjoy a meal is with friends or family, it’s so ritualistic for me, and in those moments I have rarely ever felt a need for distraction on my phone.But when I’m alone, I used to find it brutal to eat without distraction (phone, Netflix, etc). Even with all my knowledge on how it’s better for digestion to eat without technology, it felt impossible. But something recently has changed, and I not only find it easy, i now LOVE it and crave that quiet. It feels peaceful and almost meditative to just be still and let my mind rest while I eat.It’s also started to cascade into other parts of my day where i’m not needing as much background noise, and doing less “habit stacking” like listening to podcasts or audiobooks constantly. I love learning so much, but now i’m realizing there’s such a balance between learning and simply letting my brain rest.what are your thoughts ? by @monavaynerchuk

Good morning and happy monday :) a clip from the most recent clean dinner that’s just touching the surface of clean eating… there is of course a lot more to consider, but these are some important points:WILD FISH: thrive in their natural environment, which means they’re leaner, richer in omega-3s, and free from the antibiotics or questionable feed often used in fish farms.Similarly…PASTURE-RAISED POULTRY: live outdoors with space to roam and graze, resulting in healthier fat profiles and more nutrient-dense chicken and eggs than what you get from “cage-free” or “free-range” labels, which can still allow for cramped, industrial conditions. And not to overlook what’s just as important: humanity. ❤️ The food cycle or “the cycle of life” is something we can see in different ways. But when animals are treated with dignity and given space to live as they were meant to, it feels less like taking and more like honoring. And I truly believe that shift changes the energy of what’s on your plate.#monascleandinners by @monavaynerchuk

Last night was so special ❤️ @pencilsofpromise honored my love @garyvee with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his incredible contributions over the past 7 years.For those unfamiliar, @pencilsofpromise is a wonderful organization that builds schools and expands access to quality education for children in underserved communities across Ghana, Guatemala, and Laos.Through his work with POP, Gary has been a huge part of creating these opportunities. And even though he doesn’t look for recognition, last night’s honor was so incredibly well deserved. I’m so proud of you, so inspired by the person you are to everyone around you, and so proud to be your wife. I love you forever ❤️ by @monavaynerchuk
