Rust Gills - This is a classical/metal style piece about a strange portal in the forest that transforms a man into a fish made of steel. The footage was shot partly in Glacier Bay, Alaska and partly in Tacoma, Washington.

Gloom Deck - A stop motion music video about a surfing metal fish being abducted by an alien spaceship over a moonlit ocean. This is the title track on my new EP. Link in bio. Enjoy!

Just a dash of surfy Jazzmaster… 🌊

I’ve been kind of going down a rabbit hole with this tune lately. So many great versions. I first heard the Ventures rendition on the Live in Japan album back when I was still in high school. Recently I found the Mickey Baker one. WOW! And Grant Green? Holy smokes! Then I heard @alexfarranguitar playing it and my brain exploded. I don’t have any delusions that I will ever be good enough to play like any of these cats. But it’s fun to explore possibilities on this deep dive. A fun exercise, and I’m not done just yet! Thanks to my buddy Matt for sending me on this path by messaging me the Gerry Mulligan recording of it a while back. 😊

Adding a bassline with the fretless. The sound is worth the struggle… mostly ;) Also I’m digging these DC J-bass pickups and this thing plays great now thanks to Jeff and Nisebelle :) by @mondo.moe

Working on this sweet new riff. I think I’ll call this tune “Snorfietsen” which means like… scooters or… mopeds (some kind of low power motor-bikes) in Dutch. 😂 by @mondo.moe

I’ve always loved “Haitian Fight Song” by Charles Mingus. Every time I hear it, I’m reminded of the time I stayed with a circus clown in New York City while visiting my friend Matt when I was 18 years old. Fun memories! by @mondo.moe
