If you had asked me years ago what my future would look like, I don’t think I could have imagined this.

One of the things I’ve learned is that life doesn’t always unfold the way we planned. Sometimes it unfolds better.

Not because the journey was easy, but because the lessons, growth, and experiences along the way prepare us for blessings we couldn’t see coming.

Would you do this on date night? 🕯️

Candles. Snacks. And all three of our credit reports.

Larry wasn’t sold at first 😂 Here’s why we do it anyway:

Getting married didn’t merge our credit. His history is his. Mine is mine. Still, the next big thing we buy together the lender will look at both of us. I’d rather we read those reports side by side at our kitchen table than find a surprise at the loan office.

What we look at:
✔️ Anything neither of us recognizes
✔️ Anything late in the last 12 months
✔️ Accounts with our names on them that we forgot about

It stopped feeling like homework somewhere around the second report. It felt like us, building something on purpose.
