Le singe bleu
.
the blue monkey

settled inside my skull
his icy fingers caress my thoughts
he turns my dreams over like wet stones
he laughs at my hollow virtues and empty prayers
I tried to drive him away — he offered me a mirror
there I saw myself, trembling in his fur
at night he descends into my heart
and eats the fruits of my tenderness
spitting the seeds into the darkness
sometimes, he falls silent
then I feel clarity rising in the hollow of his bite
he teaches me the splendor of the abyss
the burning of unspoken truths
and it is there, in the ashes, that we dance
without knowing which of us is still dreaming by @mongequentin

Histoire d’eau- Les essuies
.
I recently stared to paint only from memory using only old cotton sheet or any found material. Here I soaked the fabric in water to let the inks and pigments flow. Water become both material and gesture, connecting colours in the same way it connects memories. taken in Saint-Tropez by @mongequentin

Denial blanket

I have to admit it’s becoming harder to make little drawings these days, given the current state of the world.

We’ve just experienced what was certainly one of the worst summers in terms of extreme heat, driven by climate change. How long can we keep hiding under the blanket of denial? by @mongequentin
